try making the paintable areas black in diffuse and its ao in alpha.
then both blendtintbybasealpha 1 and blendtintcoloroverbase 1
... i mean, if you want to, because you already uploaded it and everything... there's always your next project...
the only downside of this is that in sfm, your item will be black no matter what. you'll have to make a separate version of the model if you want people to use it in sfm. but then the paintablility issue will still be there, or it wont be paintable at all. i dont know why sfm doesnt support this, but tf2 does.

yeah, that's exactly what i'm doing with my car right now, apparently blendtintcoloroverbase 1 isn't an sfm command because 1 and 0 made no difference. i'd say that's a relatively small issue, most people use them in the game, so it's more important to get rid of that ugly white edge.

id like to have the model to test it on, so id prefer you sent it.

bye
So I finally decided to stop being lazy and finalize the mod stuff I've been doing lately. This includes what I mentioned earlier with the Larval Lid.

The second one is the one that took up most of the time, but that was mostly just setting up this page so that people can view the screenshots without having to include them in the download.

Looks like all your mouse over images are set to the before image instead of the after image. Or the mouse over is not working for some other reason.
(Also, I had no idea Dropbox displays html files, that's pretty nifty.)

It does use Javascript, so if you've got that disabled it could not work. Other than that, it seems that it works fine in Firefox but not Chrome, I'll have to look into the code to see what the issue is.
Edit: I've fixed it now, Chrome just doesn't support all of the same things that Firefox and even Internet Explorer do.

I guess I'm a little late but that scarf texture looks a little bland. Otherwise I like it all.
Also, not sure if you just haven't gotten to it yet but there's no distinguishing pictures between the three entries.

...they're boxers. he's in his underwear. that's the idea.
Psh, who wears underwear to bed, seriously.
Actually, in all seriousness, ditch the socks, make the ears bigger on the slippers, widen the gap between his legs and grundle, if those slippers are going to have eyes, model those in as well.
...they're boxers. he's in his underwear. that's the idea.
so, i went to pm only to find out that you've got it disable.
edit
so can you active it? so i can send you the files.
Anyone know if there's a way to manually cache the images in the OPs, at least in Firefox? Checking it for new mods once in a while is kind of a huge pain since it's so huge, re-downloading all of the images every time takes a while.

If I ditch the socks, he'll have noticeably deformed ankles, and with the current tri count, modelling in eyes will only worsen the problem. I had to build it all around his default slacks, so I'm pretty limited here. but yeah I think I'll size up the ears
