The main part of it looks alright (except possibly the detailing of it), but the curl looks really unnatural still.

Solid color place-holder textures are pretty cool in my opinion, but unfortunately, they don't have much of a place in TF2 considering its art style.

Sorry about that, I realized I'm probably a poor choice regardless simply because I've hardly textured metal and it was a decision i made on a whim at 2 in the morning.

Perhaps increase the height of the hat so the eyes are not covered by the crown (area of the hat the head touches), but lower the brim or angle the hat down, so the brim covers the eyes instead.

well, i've put all the parts are together so they aren't all broken up to make texturing a single object easier..
but i'll regroup the UVs because it isn't ultizing the full space.

The band looks strange going over the goggles. It should just lay [del]on top of[/del] above them.
Its how it looked in the concept, thought I might as well just leave it that way.
I tried modelling the band in a way so that it looks tight/taught over the goggles.

having a sweatband over the googles defeats the purpose of having a sweatband.
