;44438197']Demo was pretty easy to. WIP
Okay, I was indifferent to the other concepts. Especially ones like the astronaut Heavy, which, sorry Gibbly, looked like Heavy's normal outfit with armor-like gloves pasted on to him. But THIS, is gold.

not enough team colors on red compared to blue.
not enough team colors on red compared to blue.
the whole thing is reddish mate, you cant tell me you wouldnt be able to tell it isnt red at a distance...
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/39556064/concepts/HeavyCosmonaut.jpg[/t][t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/39556064/concepts/HeavyCosmonautBLU.jpg[/t] I always wanted you to go into space, man
If BLU is blue with Cream Spirit highlights, why isn't RED red with Cream Spirit? Although the olive with Team Spirit is more historically accurate, team identification might be made a bit easier with a color scheme closer to BLUs.
I'd say there's plenty. Pants color is still team colored, not like you're going to be confused about which team the red one is on just because the actually red parts on him are a little more spread out that ususal
why are the red and blues different places, that doesn't make much sense

Plus, a full red heavy would probably look like way too much considering how little red his shirt actually make up by default. As for why blue has cream details it's casue blue on slightly darker blue gives so little contrast that he would end up looking super duper boring on blue
why are the red and blues different places, that doesn't make much sense
there's no rule saying team colors have to stick to the same paint-based team palette, doing it this way works best of both textures

Had this on my old dead PC, just remade it. Enjoy, I guess. Edit: Sorry for lack of preview image. HLMV crashes on load on this PC. Oh, I also fixed the tiny fleshy bit that was on the bottom of his coat.
With the announcement of Workshop taunts, I wonder if Valve will be more open to weapons with custom animations. Also, imagine a future in which contributors make taunts to go along with their cosmetic sets.
While looking at two static images on a message board, I can easily tell the difference. If I were to see it for a split second at the edge of the screen while fighting two Scouts and dodging stray grenade rollers, I probably wouldn't. The Heavy is already the class with the least visible team color. I think we should try to mess around with the classes' color patterns as little as possible in general, but if it's absolutely necessary to do that with the Heavy I think it's best to err on the side of more team color rather than less.
Well, this means some of these might get in! or at least, it's closer to be in than ever before, that's for sure.
The first 3, GRU, and spy one seemed waaay to anime.
I hate it when you people do all this theory crafting shit about team colouring, just let them make the fucking item and then they'll test it and see if it's an issue ingame and change the texture. It's only a concept atm and Badgerpig has been around the block for long enough to know this shit.
Compared to the blue texture, yes I can tell which one is which - but on it's own it's just sort of a brownish kind of colour until you look at it closely.
I always wanted you to go into space, man
I rather like them using different paints for each team. It makes it so much easier to tell if it is a BLU or Red team Heavy. I'd say keep it as is. It's your concept so why should you change it for others? Save that for the texturing process. I still think it is awesome this way. Good on ya'!
It's your concept so why should you change it for others?
why do people keep saying this? everyone here is open to critique, and they are well aware that they don't have to listen to the critique if they don't agree. not like anyone's holding a gun to their head.

Just refreshing the statement. My apologies.
For me, the only good in that pack is MaxOfS2D's Wrangler taunt
nah, it's worthless i think i did that one in like, spring 2011? time flies by

Well it's not like people would claim mine anyway.
The first 3, GRU, and spy one seemed waaay to anime.
That's because they technically are. lol The disciplinary action one is a non-subtle homage to Iori Yagami from King-of-Fighters: I recognize the pose of the Direct Hit taunt, but can't remember it's exact origin.
How hard does that thing spazz out with the laugh taunt?
been out for a while, got back to working on the vest, finished rigging it p much and now it doesnt spazz/clip with the laugh taunt anymore! :v:

Very good job making the suit parts look cohesive and airtight.
