I extended that middle white part, assuming both sides would have textures, but only the inside, leaving that "invisible" effect where you can see the back. that black cylinder shouldnt be visible though, i want that outer shape to be textured on the outside aswell. any help?

A face only has one side which will show a texture, but it's called a "normal". Select everything in edit mode and press ctrl+n. This makes your normals, well, normal. If you're left with some invisible sides, then select the sides you want to de-invisiblise and press ctrl+f. This flips your normals.
