having an issue trying to compile a weapon model. Remove the path/extension from the model's material names.

And studiomdl doesn't compile textures, you convert those with VTFedit. Is your $cdmaterials and $basetexture pointing to the correct folders/files?

I think i know the issue now, i had all these files in a single desktop folder, so when i compiled it, only the model was made and i have to manually place the textures to have them work, yes? Anyways, not sure how i would go about removing the extension/path from the actual model, but i'll experiment. __________________________________________________________ [editline]7th December 2013[/editline] alright, is there a good place to find a workshop weapon tutorial? i've been winging this all because there's not a single weapon tutorial i can find.
