if you guys do remember i actually talked about 10% and relation to making a copyright item yours.. i'll use a recent model as an example. [t]http://i.imgur.com/XvfEAHY.png[/t] note that isn't final texture and a few minor details aren't included like speakers, half circle things and other small things.. now if you look at the two images, you'll major differences between the both like for example that the bottom image has many details that set it apart from the top image and this can be the same for many areas of art like taking a object and changing it colour to bright green or taking a photo or painting and removing or even adding in objects that weren't necessarily there to begin with.. like a tophat. ironically, just making a model of someone elses models would cover as 10% because your model is different from there's and as a result would have many different details that original model wouldn't have..
I posted a similar message to this one last night in GC, but snipped it because I wasn't 110% sure my accusations were correct. After locating the image FiveEyes was talking about, I think I'm confident enough to pull out the pitchforks and torches. Sims_doc deviantart page with the EXACT same image as above Dark One and Sims_doc use the same OS, browser, and are both from Australia: Dark One's account was created (February 2014) after Sims_doc's ban, which was in June 2013 And he has refused to link his Steam account here, despite multiple requests from various users. On top of all of that, even their posting styles (and quality of posting at that) are almost identical. It wouldn't be that big of a deal if he made considerate, thoughtful posts and actually contributed to the emporium, but the constant nuisance he creates has spurred me to do this research. Ban evasion is NOT cool, Sims_doc/Dark One. There was a reason you were perma-banned, and even after multiple warnings, did not change. Even after you created your alt account you haven't changed. (PS I've also hosted images of both his deviantart page and his post in case he tries to snip any of it) Edit: And the deed has been done. Get fokin wreked m8.
Sims_Doc used to refuse to share pictures of his models in fear someone would steal them, right?

I always figured that Monday Night Combat's Assault was best fit as the Demoman, he even holds the weapons right without any additional adjustments! [T]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/65113316/screenies/models/connect/assault1.jpg[/T]
I always figured that Monday Night Combat's Assault was best fit as the Demoman, he even holds the weapons right without any additional adjustments! [T]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/65113316/screenies/models/connect/assault1.jpg[/T]
Oh man, I was just thinking about how much I want a mod replacing Shred Alert with SMNC's Monday Night Metal taunt.
I'm having a ton of trouble compiling mods, since I can't use my computer yet to do it. GUIStudioMDL is giving me trouble despite trying to put the file in both steamapps/common/sourcesdk/bin/ep1/bin and /orangebox/bin, and won't compile. I also tried a different one, Crowbar, which just gives me the message "Error: Missing File" when trying to compile. Can anyone help me with this? I really want to make mods again
"Listen, mate. At one point or another, you may have been convinced you were a pirate. You might've even said "grog" or "arr" or somethin'. But me, mate... I'm a dinkum bloody Australian pirate." (up for grabs!)
So, I finally got around to finishing this ancient thing I started ages ago. Of course, credit to NeoDement again for fixing the Lollichop, it was the last hurdle that was stopping me from working on this and finishing it. So thanks for that! And as always, let me know if I missed any items, or if I made some huge error somewhere, or anything like that.

[T]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/65113316/screenies/models/connect/assault1.jpg[/T]
I'm confused, did you rip Assault's animations and successfully put them in a Source model? Those don't look like Demo animations to me, how'd you do that?
I must have a release
Sadly the animation quality in SMNC is god-awful and it'd take ages to make it a useable, clientside playermodel. The shots are from june 2013, and hasn't been released due to said reasons ever since.
I'm confused, did you rip Assault's animations and successfully put them in a Source model? Those don't look like Demo animations to me, how'd you do that?
I used Gildor's UE Viewer to batch export every single file, and imported the model & animations with the ActorX Importer. The tool is a maxscript so it requires 3DSMax. I adjusted and exported the core animations to use in my playermodel QC base to make it a primary-restricted, but functioning playermodel.
"Yus!!"
Why do I suddenly want a mod to have Andre (styled for tf2 ofc) as a floater by your shoulder now?
So, I'm drawing a set for the Medic. I will still draw the third item, but it'll cover a lot of the coat, so have a preview: Question is, should I go with team spirit or cream spirit color for the middle of the coat? for Team Spirit for Cream Spirit I don't even know if that colored part is possible to have in a medic coat, but yeah, idk...
this area is far too busy, a lot less lines would look much better
Yeah, the image I based the item on had way too many details. Since I changed some stuff I guess I can remove the lines from the inner shirt and remove lines to make it more "tf2istic"
I am wondering if I should add Jigglebones or not to the Cammy White legs for spy. I am using Lightwave and need to the basic model done by the 20th. [sp] Unless Jiggly Spy Butt physics will never be a thing [/sp]

I think the the collar for the inner suit should go around the medic's neck and not his chin. Also I think those shoes would look really bulky.
I think the the collar for the inner suit should go around the medic's neck and not his chin. Also I think those shoes would look really bulky.
Medic's neck is really short, and I had to make it go around his chin to make me feel confortable. His shoulders also are what's bothering me at making the third item, which will involve shoulder guards. I'll fix the inner shirt tomorrow along with some stuff. I just don't get what do you mean by "bulky"...
