thank god macros are a banneable offense because i'd be tired to repost the difference between ripoff and reference in terms of item desings as an image. The only part of the cobra commander's helmet thats unique is not the helmet itself but the fucking giant silver faceplate. the helmet even has sufferered several redesings over the years and the only feature that defined the item(and by extension the character) was the faceplate. even the one in the live action movie, and they changed almost everything. that item barely ever resembles the particular version he posted, and if anything it really doesnt look quite good as a helmet alone because it lacks straps or anything that suggest that it is a wearable piece of headwear and not part of the mask or its glued to the pyro's head. i love you all but please stop turning every single instance of an item being based off something into a witch hunt. its almost as bad as the "[I]someone already did that before[/I]" bullshit.

That way the draw animation could instantly have his fingers stuck straight through the holes, then a moment later be gripping the grip. I think it'll keep the business end closer to his main knuckles too. As it currently is it seems a bit awkward how he puts it on and has it at his middle knuckles, even though it keeps it pointed the same way as all other melee weapons.
that weapon makes it look as if the scout doesnt know how to punch people.

correct me if i am wrong, but arent "drunken monks" part of the chinese folklore? if anything, those should be chinese characters, not japanese. If you're referencing Shaolin Drunkard boxing then yeah, thats chinese. and the whole thing really doesnt look shaolin at all.

Thus it may be hard for one to spot the different between both languages. But if that is supposed to be Chinese, it would mean 'green' which doesn't really make a lot of sense.

in any case, these characters dont really add anything to the set and would look better without them.
I think a stylized demo icon would fit better, instead of a chinese character no one would understand, other than "it's oriental".

I like the idea and concept, the only thing that bugs me is the bundle of wires being shown.
