IteamToast 1.3 Changelog
FIXED
#######################################################################################################################
-Backpack icons now properly packed when bp icons are manually defined when loading a .qc or .mdl (i.e for weapon mods)
-Fixed "Detect" steam/game folders unable to read "config.vdf" when "apps" not defined.
-Ionic zip DLL library no longer packed within the .exe to avoid anti viruses considering it a threat (now in the same folder as ItemToast.exe).
NEW FEATURES

-Added text box to search items.
-When loading a workshop zip file Itemtoast gets the item name from the workshop file and set it as the repack name.
-When manually selecting the backpack icon Itemtoast automatically searches for the second bp icon "_large" or smaller version and to automatically loads both.
CHANGES
#######################################################################################################################
-Included mod installation help/guidelines in the default packed readme.txt
-Simplified labeling in "settings" tab for the "packing" parameters.
-Moved "all class only" and "do not load all class items" to the bottom left.
This reminds me of two things:
1) A chef's coat
2) Hitler's coat
Edit: If you're going to dumb me, then look at this. The concept is already taken.

Eh, I was the first one to rate him dumb. I feel like I've started something, heh...
Anyways, besides that off topic stuff, can anyone tell me more about bodygroups? Like, I want to make some shorts for Demoman, but I don't know if it is possible thanks to his pants. Do I need to make items that are thicker than his default pants for it to be viable? I've seen that Demoman Disco set, so I'm not entirely sure...
If you want to give the Demoman shorts with visible legs, you gotta give him some really meaty hairy legs, like those Sniper shorts from a while back. There's no way around it.
But if you wanted to make the Demoman barefooted, that would work, since a bodygroup of it already exists on the original player model that removes his shoes. New bodygroups means a new player model, and Valve is not keen on adding more bodygroups right now.

To check if a class has the bodygroup existing, just go into half life model viewer.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/txlExnp.jpg[/t]
Open up half life model viewer for tf2, and load model (steam)
[t]http://i.imgur.com/FB2Usbh.jpg[/t]
Go to players and then load the model of the class you desire
[t]http://i.imgur.com/DEK4B4E.jpg[/t]
On the bottom left, go to the "model" tab and you should see this drop down menu
[t]http://i.imgur.com/iqKTQso.jpg[/t]
Fiddling with it allows you to select the different bodygroups on a model and the slot to the right shows you the possible versions the bodygroup has. For example, heavy's fists have submodel 1 for his normal fists. Then he has submodel 2 for no hands, and submodel three is used with the Purity Fist.

Alternatively, if you're using TFMV, then just load the model from recent models.

for the record, there arent bodygroups for the zombie. it's just a player skin that makes those parts of the body invisible and then adds on a model of the bones
-the issue with this is, you have to make a new playermodel (to add the new skinfamily), so trying this with the importer would override the current playermodel, and if you want multiple people to use this technique, you could only use one. so valve probably will just flat out not accept it

Totally not at all inspired by Big Boss
Anyone want to texture it?
Thats a very strange looking eye-patch.

I thought i'd give him a chance and talked to him on steam.
amoung other things, he's been raving about how epaulettes should go over the medigun harness for about four days now, even though actually putting them over the straps after you've put the backpack on would be pretty hard without help. I regret everything

I don't know if anybody has done this yet but here you go, sorry if it's been done before. This is my first time doing this so I hope there's no problems. I did this for myself because I thought it'd be hilarious for it to play on a dropped ubercharge, then I figured somebody else might want it too.

I don't want to be rude, but is it WIP? Because for me it looks like a slime monster from some Dragon Quest game. There needs something to actually distinguish it as flames coming out from a torch...

i would feel embarrassed to even think of this being complete. the point of the post was for a little humor and another reason never to trust hlmv EVER.
Thrift Shop Suit, and some shades+earrings:

shape clarification

the lapels/flaps are made purposefully thicker, to give the illusion the undershirt is thinner. Not sure if this idea can work or not, i'm just mainly hoping to see if shape experimentation could make it do-able.
well, is it any less flimsy now?

The chain links and the bars in the lantern are WAY too thin

The bit going from the head to the lantern looks like a bean. maybes make it a more constant thickness going from the headpiece to the lantern. also the other post about the rings being too thin is a little bit true maybe make them 2x thicker?
edit:
Maybe you could also jiggle rig the chains with some gravity to get the dangling effect you are after?

Why do you hate the center of demos vest so much.
Like seriously, almost every demo jacket you've done has a big red streak down the middle, why is that?
I personally can't stand Demo's vest. It's a cluster of ugliness.

IteamToast 1.3 Changelog
ItemToast has a few problems if you try to make a replacement pack if you select a high number of hats to replace. I had to run it 5 times for it to get them all done.
its meant to be body armor. Any logical or sensible piece of clothing designed for demo would go naturally go underneath it, rather than be a part of it.
its the reason why every attempt at making a vest/coat that inclused it ends looking extremely bulky and unnatural/weird.
So I've found out the hard way that you can't have something additive paintable and self-illuminated using the gold star importer (it auto-unchecks blend color over base when self illumination is checked). You can still do multiplicative paint, but that only works on textures that are white by default.
This effectively means that the Rump o' Lantern is one one of the only additive paintable self-illuminated cosmetics in the game, and probably forever will be due to the limitations the gold star importer imposes.

Oh right, I forgot to check for that problem, happens on slow HDDs.
I am assuming you are packing with VPK? (let me know)
Try this version please and go nuts with the number of items to repack to see if this version handles it well:

Whilst this is a really well done set and the modelling / texturing / everything is fantastic~
I dearly wish someone would do a Western Dragon set for the Pyro.
I know its just a preferential thing. I dont mean to discredit your work. Its fantastic. Im just surprised nobody has done a Western Dragon set for the Pyro or any other class yet.

Something along those lines, since I am terrible at drawing and any concepts would be eye-gouging.
Just an idea. Thats all.
Enough with those freaking snout-whiskers!

We already have Pyromancer's mask and a pet dragon on the workshop, but I guess that a dragon mask isn't a bad idea either. I wish I could come up with a concept, but I'm afraid I can't do anything more original the Pyromancer's mask.
I guess I'll give it a try tomorrow.

Do you know any method for doing such a thing? I tried alt+S but it fucks up the whole lantern..
oh and does anyone know if jigglebones can have gravity?

Didn't know my HD was slow, but yes, was packing with VPK
I really don't know if this is considered slow. Other one is a ST3500620AS.
The reviews are half right. The first set, the set that came with the PC made horrible grinding noises and crashed every hour. The second set, still same models, and no problem for 4/5 years and/or more.
Any updates and/or downloads for those BLU team skins for Swizzle's 1850's Heavy, Engineer and Scout that NeoDement made?
As well, any progress on rigging the 1850's Scout for TF2?
I'd ask about the Engineer, but it seems one or two people are messing about with trying to rig the 1850's Engineer)
I personally just want the BLU Heavy because I've got the model Neodement made all compiled, but it lacks a BLU skin and invuln skins.
