I am going to sound like a complete knob for saying this, but what exactly is it about the Festive Explosives on the workshop that everyone loves? It looks really bland and boring yet it has nearly 4,000 votes. Am I missing something here?
You should add in how you can lay each screenshot over each other, select the background, then go though each one and erase the background very easily.
unless you use bind pose the image is gonna be slightly different each time, since it's a flat color you can easily remove it even at the end, I just figure anyone who wants to do that will probably have the know-how and it's not an integral part of the method

[t]http://i.imgur.com/bGOUk9r.jpg[/t] First time making normal maps out of a higher def model... Pics in 3dsmax, I haven't checked how it looks ingame yet. I'm thinking of putting a little pocket down at the front. Colors not final, I just color picked Sniper's vest.

I felt like sharing this because it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to see this. Its been up there a few times before, but this is the one time I felt like sharing my joy.

First two of the night. More to come as soon as I get those Shugo models working. So I figured out why it was stretching, loaded the hat as a model and the scout as a weapon. Found that there's a way you can make the models untextured in HLMV but now sure how, anybody want to enlighten me?

how to stay organized among several items that need to be made as soon as possible 101
does anyone have a list of bonetreecollapse QC commands that occur for each player model? This would be HUGELY valuable for using bones that are removed in LOD's.

Hell, I'd still get it and paint it white to go with my Santa loadout project. Only Scoot and Snoipuh remain to be Santafied. This is by far the closest anyone's gonna get for a more manly Scout loadout. =P

Hello there, TF2 Emporium! Now, as you should be aware, Christmas is just around the corner (much like that clown I hired to scare you, but that isn't important), and what is the one thing men, women and children want for Christmas the most? Well, piles of money and expensive gifts for starters, but this is a recession so instead you get something even better: some item concepts drawn by someone with little to no artistic talent in a program he downloaded earlier today and has no clue how to use. Doesn't that sound like a Christmas miracle? Jesus would be proud. [t]http://i.imgur.com/fMfs6WD.png[/t] [t]http://imgur.com/DC4y0WD.png[/t] As you can see in these aw[del]ful[/del]esome and painstakingly handcrafted visual wonders, the Pyro, noted for his somewhat eclectic tastes in clothing and also previously affiliated with postal services (see the Postal Pummeler) has travelled the the greatest country of them all; Britain, and subsequently vandalised and stolen a prized landmark and means of communication. And also a postbox. And did many other things of an unspeakable nature, so naturally I won't tell you about them. For those who are colourblind/visually impaired or have rubbish monitors, the gold on the hat is a badge of crossed axes, for extra pyroness. Any criticism will be noted but not used because quite frankly this is the best I can do. I've been sitting on this idea for two months and simply wanted it off my chest.
Could someone actually make a Nutcracker-like jacket for the Spy too? This will sound ... egoistic, but it would be my only chance to basically get a Colonel Radec Spy in Team Fortress 2 EDIT: Pageking ... Kill me.
So I had talked with Poh, the creator of the Homestuck models I'm trying to fix, and he made a new one before quitting modeling! [t]http://i.imgur.com/pUbuQDE.jpg[/t] The problem is, that this is the second to last model, but the files of the last model are lost; I will have to fix the problems myself. The right arm should be robotic. This must be a problem in the QC, since the model mesh doesn't have the arm, but there are files for both the robot and normal arm. I need to fix the clipping wit the lower edges of the jacket [t]http://i.imgur.com/LM8zcFa.jpg[/t] Need to cut the glasses from the old model and put it on the new one (although I have no idea how to do that.) One of the eyes must be different. Again, the files are there, it must be a problem in the QC. [t]http://i.imgur.com/jgo6QCz.jpg[/t] The corset looks kinda weird. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Pjo1pFp.jpg[/t] And the belt looks horrible. I will repaint it ASAP. The color of the buckle seems a bit too dark, what do you guys think?
[t]http://cloud-3.steampowered.com/ugc/455159125772720967/DA062233BE45C2F15EF435F89493199DF9420B61/[/t] i can see why people model religiously.. i'm starting to enjoy it too much despite all the rigging if i could only get the hat to paint without making all the seams gray..
Lets say I want to take a human model from a (non steam) game and put it into sfm. I already have the model and the texture thing down. What would be the best way to proceed from here? I was thinking about assigning my custom model to scout's rig (because i don't really know how to make a custom rig in the QC's) and then later on adding facial flexes. Would that work or do I need to do it some other way ?

I don't think anyone can brake the smissmas item train. I think it needs a gradient right before the eyes, and an LOD (it's over 700 polys sadly). What coloured lights though (unpainted obv)? - Team colours - White/cream colour the festive sticky used to use
