Yeah, using the big box instead of the bag allows more customization/uniqueness.
It looks far more interesting than the red bag.

Pizza bag is accurate, but would look too bland and uninspired.
Pizza box looks bad.
Pizza container looks original while still being accurate, so I say container.
Container is just a giant ugly box, really dont see any of it working honestly

But with the logo of a pizza parlor, pizza inside while the box opened, among other things, makes the container have personality.
It'll be much harder with the red bag.

The bag allows you more interesting shapes (not just square and all regular) and fits more.
If you want a non-fitting huge item that will have to be covered with stickies and what not to be clearly presented as the pizza container, take it.
Anyways the container looks ridiculous to me and don't know in wich aspect will it be more original or "inspired" than the bag.

See above, I can read the future. The bag would:
1- Fit the theme better. Pizza boys deliver the pizza in a pizza bag
2- Fit the character. The pizza bag is actually lighter than a huge container and that could help the Scout.
3- Doesn't need unnecessary gimmick features to actually show what it is.
4- The model itself would be much more interesting
Also if anyone is gonna say that the Scout already got not fitting items and that TF2 makes no sense and those ridiculous arguments, remember: If bad is done it doesn't mean you have to do bad too.

With any other shape it would stop being a pizza bag.

The thing is taht is not made of a rigid material. it can be not be a square, it can be squeezed at some points (not to the point of damaging the inside) and such.

So which one? Pizza bag or Container?
With the pizza bag, you carry the risk of creating a boring and generic item. But done right, it could work.
With the container, it will be original from the start.
Its your choice.
Who needs a container?! I'm sure a little duct tape will secure that pizza to his back just fine. Imagine all the money they would save on packaging.
