TF2 Emporium 58: We spend 3 pages discussing a single item
Thats whats it for

what class is it for?
It's just a cheap way of promotion. Like the sad music and crying dogs in those ASPCA commercials.
Speaking of animals, making pocket pets/puppies for Engineer is another cheap way of getting items into-game but no one complained when Sexy Robot posted that baby seal, which seriously has nothing to do with the class's character? I mean, at least the Dogfighter is related in a way to the Engineer's personality.
I like the dogfighter, but don't like that it covers team colors even if it does replace them. but that is cause I am a nerdbutt. And the texture does look cloudy and hazy, but that's most likely jyst the compression and whatnot.
what class is it for?
i would assume sniper.
what class is it for?
Gonna hazard a guess with the shape of the item and the strap running across it that it's for Sniper
what class is it for?
Sniper! Been on a Clint Eastwood kick lately.

[sp]Exploit the voters and all.[/sp]
one things for sure, some of you guys can be just overall great people, but there are alot of you that are just full of rotten shit down too your core :zoid:
Sniper! Been on a Clint Eastwood kick lately.
its funny you mention, most of the Brim-full of Bullet's item set was based off of Clint Eastwood in his many western movies.
one things for sure, some of you guys can be just overall great people, but there are alot of you that are just full of rotten shit down too your core :zoid:
Ow.
Yo, i remade thing:
its funny you mention, most of the Brim-full of Bullet's item set was based off of Clint Eastwood in his many western movies.
Yep, I saw that and was disappointed the other items didn't get in. But that hat is on my loadout as we speak.
I even admitted that was a cheap swipe of an item though. ;p I just made it for a little bit of fun anyway. [sp]Exploit the voters and all.[/sp]
Still a damn good cheap swipe of an item either way.
Yo, i remade thing:
weird shape
Yo, i remade thing:
Barely noticeable
I even admitted that was a cheap swipe of an item though. ;p I just made it for a little bit of fun anyway. [sp]Exploit the voters and all.[/sp]
If my granddad passed away and I made an item based around an aspect of his life and advertised his passing to promote the item-- I'd feel like I was cheapening his memory. I'm not a fan of how the item looks, it looks quite low quality, but I'm afraid to offend the guy who made it by saying that. I hope your family are doing ok in this trying time. I hope any criticisms your item has had hasn't made the loss more upsetting for you. Bloody love my grandad.
weird shape
I tried to give it a more hairy feel, any suggestions?
Void no offense but every time you've complained about the dedication I eyeroll. You take this stuff way too seriously. Not everyone is so hellbent on making money from the workshop, have you considered that maybe the guy actually wanted to give tribute to a lost family member on something he made? Not everyone is as furiously competitive as some people on here are. I know you're upset because you're trying to live off the Workshop and naturally are going to take it more seriously but put bluntly you knew what you were getting yourself into by crowdsourcing your livelihood to the lowest common denominator, and the rest of us shouldn't be forced to treat this like a job because some other people do. I like you Void but you're gonna kill yourself from stress on something that used to be a fun hobby.
I tried to give it a more hairy feel, any suggestions?
make em bigger in a cartoonish exageration?
yo this isn't about me and making money
but it is about taking things far too seriously. and not worrying about the money is an important step to not overstating TF2's importance, take it from the king of not making money.
Ow.
It's true. when i first heard of making items for this game, i didnt know anything, all i knew was that you got a sparkly item saying you made it and i was down. i come on here all the time and see alot of you helping eachother out with advice, feedback, links, and general community hospitality. but after being part of this for awhile ive noticed some people aren't part of that , some of them are in it for the cash and the feel of superiority, shutting down anybody who makes an attempt too try and have some genuine fun with some creativity that's a little off topic. the whole point of video games is too create realities of our own without being fucking shotdown by the real world. what Real damage does his item do too all of you by being on the workshop? it wasnt until he shared that it might get ingame (never a smart move) that everyone flipped their shit. im aware that there are rules and priorities too abide by when making tf2 stuff, but he was doing this for fun, for a game he loves. this is why alot of new people too the workshop are afraid of trying too make stuff by themselves, the "Big shots" always have too shut them down. such a shame that this had too all go down. sorry you had too go through this questionablyinsane, and im sorry that so many people have disrespected your genuine desire too create something in the name of a loved one. the vector pinup girls on the jacket look like shit for 1950s TF2 artstyle. i mean, they look pretty okay for today marketing, but it doesn't fit the tf2 style one bit unless your granda was a pinup girl, i don't see any possible offense here. they're virtual items. some of you make your money from it. if that's the case, act professional. drama over pixels is stupid
To be fair.....He never said it is going into the game, anything in the workshop can technically "get ingame" were all just assming under the assumption that its really popular..... and because JPRAS gave us some wink wonks
Modified the beard a bit, added a bit of bark, and changed the neck mesh to fit the Pyro's neck for better rigging.
unless your granda was a pinup girl, i don't see any possible offense here.
Oh come on, you made me feel bad for laughing at this.
the color on it still seems off for me, even the other textured one. that green never really shows up in tf2 naturally, from what i see anyways
