chef suit+apron for pyro

Looks really out of place, the way its clipping into the respirator.
I hope you're aware of the difference between a having a buckle as a subtle detail and having an entire belt on around it. the whole point of the hat is to be something between a bonet and and regular cap.
desing wise, the belt itself its quite an eyesore and makes no sense at all unless it was actually glued to the fabric of the hat. it actually makes the hat look rather cartoonish. mixing both leather and fabric also makes it quite hideous and way larger than it should be(wich is the reason in the original one the buckle is just a detail on the strap of the hat).
I'm pretty sure that at this point feedback implies a scrapping your concept altogether and you probably do not want to work on the subject anymore, but consider taking another shot at the item somewhere in the future when you can look at it with with a more critical point of view.
How the belt looks is subjective. The old model was the exact same design (just of a much lower quality and detail) and it became quite popular. You might think the belt looks bad, but personally I love that kind of design on hats.
Regardless, you are correct - What you're criticising would mean scrapping the hat entirely and doing it all over from scratch, which I'm not doing. If you don't like the item, nobody is telling you to vote it up (or not to vote it down) when it eventually gets released to the workshop. That's your opinion entirely.
In other news:

Contemplating a pattern for the facemask, although I'm not sure what. I could do it matching the jacket, the hat, or I could do a totally new pattern on it. I have a few ideas:

Agree for boring, vanilla plain.
Disagree for prissy, sassy floral.
Funny for proud European tartan.
Zing for terrifying psychopath teeth.
Optimistic for something else entirely.
everything
can you stop writing short novels for every post

floral actually matches the jacket
though that might not be a good thing

Ona looked up from his keyboard, eyes narrowing as they danced over the short messege. His nostrils flared, menacingly, and his fingers flexed. Somebody had a problem with his wrighting style did they? Well, he'd show them.
Fingers fell against plastic as the bony digets rattled across the worn Alienware keyboard. He typed words, words with prose, with feeling, with italics. But most of all, words with unncessarily padded length and extravagance!
He typed one sentence, then another. "I'll show you, you crusty ol' fool!" he muttered under his breath, spittle and froth peppering his cracked lips, eyes manic and bloodshot behind the reading glasses. He paused, snatched his mug from the desk and took a deep slug of the lukewarm coffee, then slammed it back down and began to type once more with gusto.
"I'll make it as long as I can!" he spat, flecks of projectile saliva casting rainbow patterns as they hit the chipped and dirty screen. "I'll write, like.. Three whole paragraphs at him! Maybe more!" His fingers sped up, his speeling getnig wiorse as hois franticxnes increased.
"I'll write as many damn novels as I want!" he cried, eyes ablaze with rage-fuelled passion. And as he smashed his cursor down against the "Post Quick Reply" button, he admired his work... And as an afterthought, added a little "disagree" to Punchy's post.
That'd show him.
In short, no.

And this is why the workshop needs to support styles.
This would be so perfect to go alongside the Villain's Veil.
Call it the Cur's Cover-Up or summat like that.

If you wanted to get rid of the cigarette clipping, perhaps you could model the bandanna a bit like this.
[t]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/595856084058597045/F3163DEBBFC04CC4A3D6CFD7ECA828E39B4165E2/[/t]
But obvious cigarette clipping has gotten in the game before, so I'm sure that won't stop Valve from accepting it.
Edit:
As for the pattern, maybe go with simple stripes or something.
You also have to set it up in the .qc.
$cdmaterials "models\player/item\engineer/"
$texturegroup skinfamilies
{
{ "engineer_red.vmt" }
{ "engineer_blue.vmt" }
}
As an example
You would need to replace the texture names though.

Can you stop pushing your reading disability on people? Second time you've complained about posts being long when they're barely an essay paragraph

OT: need to come up with a way to make it position on the respirator without mindlessly clipping through it

I should probably put more effort into the model too, it's just a spare time doodle model right now
Seems the crowd has spoken:

Would you consider submitting the glasses and mask seperatley from the snake of Seoul set? I feel it ruins the set when paired with it, as the whole set is about laying low and blending into the crowd. Wearing a mask would draw more attention than it diverts. Its a nice item but it doesnt fit the set.
I mean for compile and recompile the qc
Save the .qc, drag over studiomdl in common/team fortress 2/bin
It compiles to common/team fortress 2/tf/models/...
depending on where you have it compiling to it would vary, but it would most likely be /tf/models/items/CLASS/

ideally you wouldn't need a mask like that for stealth or laying low
if you need a mask, you've already been compromised

This is for a class that has never been seen not wearing a mask.
