why are we getting these obscure things nowadays we could easily describe older hats with one or two words now you have to explain the entire point, reference, and direction of the set to understand what a hat even is i dont fucking get it
AHEM [t]http://puu.sh/9tSNc/19d401494d.png[/t]

Bullet buzz: buzz cut with bullet held by ear. not too bad, but it's definitely out there. little to no humor. Flapjack: Akira reference. not many people have seen Akira, worn by all the MLG scouts. Killer's kit: Camo pants and a bunch of pockets ??why the pockets?? no humor to see here Hornblower: It looks like those nutcrackers you see around christmas. funny, but it's way out there. The Hurt Locher: I dont even know how to describe this one. demolitions vest? fashioned out of what is already a demolitions vest? eh. seems like its build to go with the scotch bonnet. he reason i like older hats and miscs is because their point is easily discernible, they're normally kinda funny, and they arent meant to look "cool" because they're more of a joke. Bombing Run: Aviator Hat. Stainless Pot: Stainless Pot. Rimmed Raincatcher: Colorful Tricorn. Officer's Ushanka: Ushanka. Magistrate's Mullet: Powdered Wig. idk. rate me dumb, i guess times have changed, I'd just like to see more hats like these older ones.
If the whole thing is about the Demo being too skinny, why not give him big, bulging muscles like Hale Caesar/Terry Crews?
word of advice: before making a space concept for TF2, watch the jetsons. [editline]14th June 2014[/editline] Rant
the majority of those items are pretty self explanatory. even though they each have some form of varying inspiration they flow well with the character design and even if you don't really know what it is, they look like part of what the character would actually wear. and before you go "Oh god yur such a hypocrite with your post that you made about themes that aren't clear just 5 minutes ago. im obviously right". what i was talking about was saying something had a certain theme when actually it doesn't look anything like the theme its claiming too represent. flapjack theme is anime/akira clothes, killers kit consists of pockets and camo which are almost some of the most common things in most military forces, buzz cut is hair with a bullet, heavy likes bullets. this game has quite a lot of humor in it but draws from other themes for the designs for the overall character design and feel of the game. why can't we have items that go along with clear themes or go well with the characters personality. I haven't ripped on you in the past but honestly you seem butt hurt over stupid reasons/issues , even some that don't exist. like this one.

I feel bad for the people that made space costumes for halloween and got accepted. If they do end up adding space costumes for the moonbase, it will be sad. Bear in mind things like alien costumes and literal costume costumes are different, but i mean if valve adds things that are very costumey and not so much functional looking it will feel weird to me
It does remind me of CSGO's sticker function, which is something I kinda wanna see implemented in TF2...
I'd like to see many things from CS:GO and DotA 2 implemented into TF2 such as the stickers from CS:GO, the way player models and cosmetics work in DotA 2, etc. But I think that making stickers accessible only via capsules with keys (aka fucking crates) is a stupid idea. Make stickers be drops from doing shit. Give TF2 a DotA 2-style tourney watching system where you can give out stickers and items to people watching the tournaments kinda like how people watching DotA 2 live tournaments can obtain items with special qualities and shit. Oh, and I think that shotgun thing is supposed to be a furry thing. Not sure though.

[t]http://puu.sh/9u6Ka/8692a40c62.jpg[/t] decided to put a little thing in my map not gonna show you where it is because thatd be lame lmao
The are times when 1400 triangles is a very small amount of triangles. Not even done with rough modeling and already having to think about what to lose or split into a separate item.
Tried to make vaas He looks to buffed ...
This reminds me of the old scout concept art. Specifically the rightmost one, which was always my favorite variant. I actually think making the scout look a little more buffed would be a nice change, especially if he looked more like he does in that art. I also actually prefer the colored pants and the white top to the current dark pants and colored top, but I guess Valve felt it didn't read as well?
Pshht. Back in the days of the contribute page/workshop start we had to do with 800* triangles! :suicide:
Pshht. Back in my day, we had to walk 40 miles to school, uphill both ways in a god damn blizzard! And if we wanted to meet up with our girlfriend for some lovin', we had to make the same trek but with an erection. What is this 800*? I'm not exactly a modeller per se, so this asterisk business throws me off.

[editline]15th June 2014[/editline]
like mirroring the side with the ejection part to the left side ?
well the stock smg from sniper has the ejector at the right* side too, so i could just manage to move the frame a bit
