to be perfectly honest when is see these i don't see a space theme at all. i thought the scout was some sort of bandit with a fancy gun and the sniper one was some fancy gear with a headset. from what I've been able to tell you've been trying to do a more outlandish space theme where as in the tf2 universe, themed items actually stay close to their themes. when you think tf2 universe 1960-70's space you think metal, tubes, radars, oxygen tanks, helmets, all in a style similar to the character or the game. your ideas are nice but they aren't instantly recognizable as space items unless you tell us that they're space items or if you're familiar with other sorts of sci-fi media with cross themes like royal guards with Victoria era clothing crossed with spandex/reflective clothing. once again not hating. they're really neat ideas that could definitely be refined to fit the theme they appear too be appropriate with, but as of now they can be quite confusing to people who don't see the references.
Oh, ok. Yeah, I was aiming to get one of those napoleonic space opera anime themes where people duel with giant robots and sabers, but I see your point. Next time I shall stick with just a napoleonic/victorian theme for the set then. Thanks!
[IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/RWd9vUc.png[/IMG_thumb] wip of an smg (ar 18) i'm making for mat500 critics are much appreciated :)
it's seems very good but i think you should modify some things on it: the front sight looks like this:

with this image you can also see the handguard shape, it's not conical the shell ejector looks like this:

to solve the ejection blocking by the the stock, i think you should mirror the up receiver like my concept art and turn the skeletal buttstock into a full buttstock. you could also remove the strap ring under the up receiver and the thing under the ammo clip. aside from that everything is ok mate !
First pass on the Tape wrench Blaholtzen concepted: Still gotta fix up the rolls of tape, so they're not just cylinders And gotta do the handle properly

Is that a goddamn holo-pan?
Is that a goddamn holo-pan?
I think it may be, and if it is it is the greatest thing ever. I use think here as I dont know if it counts as a pan. Being made of light and all.
Lightsaber Pan! Much like the Lightsaber Spoon. Because lasers are good for your health.
Speaking of pans, Have an update that has nothing to do with pans. I added the bands and made them paintable. And I also made some boots for whatever reason. Socks are paintable.
WIP Harpoon Minigun for heavy. still a heavy work in progress (get it, heavy :zoid:) for this sea captain heavy concept I'll be re-releasing. wanted to make something with a different silhouette. I'll finish up the other angled views so you guys can get a feel to what the parts look like and how they function together. here's some of the concept art:

I could possibly work on the sounds if nobody took the job already. Otherwise have these Lightsaber hit sfx already archived to be placed in the VPK past the first folder.

why does no one ever have good concept designs to pitch me when they add me, i then have to awkwardly tell them it's not a good idea and ask them to delete me.
why does no one ever have good concept designs to pitch me when they add me, i then have to awkwardly tell them it's not a good idea and ask them to delete me.
man you have nooo idea
anybody has already done this? [t]http://www.dazzlingplaces.com/Images/Seattle/ScienceFictionMuseum/IconsSF/Icons31.jpg[/t] A reference to Mars Attacks

Also instead of just telling them to remove you, you could just help them improve the idea to make it seem like a good one.

Working atm with an agent suit for spy. I hate it that there are almost no special-ops items for spy: Started recently with the textures. Im just not sure about the base texture because there are no red parts which assign the team. Or isn't that necessary in this case?

Made a hat. And the cool part is none of these items need lods. May kick some detail into the suit, but the suit is more of a mod item and less of a workshop item.
is that green the base color? it is a very odd base color
is that green the base color? it is a very odd base color
Nah, everything texture wise is base/test. Also hat side shot. Current working title of biggums bonnet/beanie.

For those of you doing $selfillum type stuff in the importer (for example, holograms), take note: If you write your own vmts for testing, you're probably used to syntax like this:
"$selfillumtint" "[float float float]"
That's a floating point value in the range of 0-255, which means if you go up to 255 255 255 your selfillum is going to be STUPIDLY bright (and probably unusable unless your base texture is VERY dark). So typically you'd use a very small value. I find between 2, 2, 2 and 6, 6, 6 to be perfect for the textures I've worked with, when using the floating point syntax. Well, the TF2 item importer uses THIS syntax -- notice the brackets ({} not []):
"$selfillumtint" "{int int int}"
That's an integer value (no decimals). You'll probably notice if you put in values expecting it to work like an RGB white value of 0-255 that it's simply not that bright even at 255, 255, 255 -- and pointless at low values like 3, 3, 3. Thus within the importer, you'll want to use much higher values than you might expect. 250, 250, 250 for glowing, 500, 500, 500 for bright or even 1000, 1000, 1000 for very bright things should work just fine in the importer, HLMV, SFM and the game.

At the moment, he could be easily confused for a Demoman.
