there's a gib mod out there that makes them into an updated form i believe
I believe this is it. However, they still have the outdated models pre-2007.
pretty much nobody will even be able to use this.
What?
What?
Economy.
Economy.
mods > economy.
Why doesn't Valve make promo's craftable again? Or even droppable after their promo date?
Requesting one or both of these as conga mods. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lXsbZwKDKY
Why doesn't Valve make promo's craftable again? Or even droppable after their promo date?
Yeah, it's pretty annoying. I for one would like to see The Big Kill amongst more people, and not have it restricted to what it is now. Anyway all I think I need to do / can do is remodel the speedloader and fix the bullets because I did the lazy way and just stretched the verts from the top to the bottom (because the tips were only modelled and pressed flush against the barrel). So yeah, big WIP.
I'm having too much fun with this

Makes me believe that my plan of having "DoNotRedistribute" in the mod filename works, all 3 of my space weapons were at the top of the workshop at some point for a good bit and he/she didn't redistribute those. I urge everybody else to do the same if you're against Natko's ways.
But your stuff is already on gamebanana, so there would be no reason to redistribute it there?
But your stuff is already on gamebanana, so there would be no reason to redistribute it there?
Literally just uploaded them there a few minutes ago. They weren't on there before.
Literally just uploaded them there a few minutes ago. They weren't on there before.
Yea I neglected to notice that when I posted
I believe this is it. However, they still have the outdated models pre-2007.
no, i mean one that cuts the 2014 player models into gib format
but uploading your stuff to game banana actually validates their policy as content distributors, with the only difference being that another user(e: natko)doesnt get the "insite credit" for doing so. thus supporting the rest of the unfair/arbitrary policies on the site in the process.

i don't like posting my concepts publicly but this can be an exception i guess yeah yeah i already got a monopoly on the in-game scout jackets but i feel this is really fitting to scout and scout alone, in personality and body type
the issue is that they take other's work and redistribute it for the sake of profit without the author's consent, to wich they probably say "we're doing you a favor: everyone and everything should be here". not only doesn't give you control over what exactly is redistributed, nor allows you t update or fix it or give support. according to the GB terms of use, when an user uploads content to the site he agrees to give it as a royalty-free item for them to edit, manipulate, redistribute and such to the site, plus you take any responsability for any copyright infrightment that might result in the process. if they take your stuff and redistribute it on their site they basically grant themselves any right to do with your item as they please since they uploaded the item therefore they are the creators and owners of said item.
Gamebanana's star user Natko has redistributed another item from the workshop http://tf2.gamebanana.com/skins/135015
Does it say "Yes I have permission to redistribute this" at the top? Because that seems to be his fail-safe against people getting on his ass about redistributing shit. How's the Mods.tf site coming along btw? And star administrator Logan Dougall finally grew a pair of balls and banned me from the site with the reason "Stop causing problems and just go!". All because I was trying to inspire a change in the way that shitty site is administrated, and at the same time just not giving a fuck about nothing and calling out stupid people publicly (such as calling people silly cunts and such without fear of being banned). I even called Logan himself a "fucking dumbass" on his profile when a user named "Sebux" was banned by cool administrator Mini as being an obvious alt account of a banned user name "!Alex!". Sebux told several people his name was "Alex" and he used !Alex!'s trademark "!Enjoy!" in his shitty CS:S submissions. Despite this, when I submitted a support ticket, it was pretty much closed by Logan without anything being done. When asked why he closed it, he simply stated "I'm not entertaining your witch hunt". Few days later, Mini comes along, looks into it and finds out I was right. Bans Sebux, gives Logan a talking-to apparently (which didn't change anything, he was still an uptight twat), then Mini privately messages me to tell me he banned Sebux which prompted me to call Logan a fucking dumbass on his profile for not listening to people about things. Then I declared I was leaving and instead chose to stay a little while longer and call out some other fucking goofs on that site like Steve Merson, _AMERICAN_ and even Logan some more. Logan never did delete my comment where I called him a fucking dumbass. Nor did he respond to it. But he saw it. And in two days, I became essentially a god among men. It was fun while it lasted.
Can we just fucking nuke Gamebanana for all the crimes they did against humanity? I'd love to see the site gone.
so, not a single one of us here is a lawyer who has what it takes to take them to court to stop them once and for all?
If only...
To be fair the site itself is pretty decent with a large community and several sections not limited to just mods. I like the site on how its built and what it provides. I will say however that the main problem that plagues GB is the administration and how easy it is for them to bend the rules to turn them in their favor. Shit, a large majority of the internal problems stem from the shitty points system which is required to access some of the most basic site fucntions. If Tom, the owner of the site, would clear out a majority of the mods and replace them the entire quality of the site could improve drastically. Unfortunately that will never happen. EDIT: I'm not trying to defend GB here in anyway, a lot of what happens their is bullshit and the admins play favorites with content creators. I simply enjoy what the site has available aside from just mods and sprays. If we could get a carbon copy of the good parts of GB and make our own site run by more reliable users from FP, it would easily trump GB from all sides.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/ymFsqb3.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/9enBULA.png[/t]
Holy shit, I was just screwing around with my dusty old Big Kill today and lamented how this model's never been fixed up by anyone. I will download this as soon as it's ready. And if you haven't already (because I haven't paid attention to Emporiums in a long time), adding the little bullet injector to the other revolvers would be swell (unless this does exactly that already; I'm guessing the injector is part of the c_arms and not the Big Kill model itself?).
Thingy: [sp]no, I didn't copy the casual medic model[/sp]

Couldn't for the life of me find a solution to the team coloured sentry rocket not working problem. So I just made a team neutral colour instead. Top right and left are the beta rockets model and textures, bottom left is the team neutral texture with the beta model, bottom right is the current vanilla rockets fired by the sentry ingame.
So my 70 FOV Bat arms for the Scout got broken with this update due to the bat being moved to c_models and I want to fix it, but I haven't any experience with modifying c_models or the animations associated with them. Assuming I use Seperated C_Models, is there a method to modifying the bat's animation file? Basically, I need a tutorial or some guide to follow.
Now that the bat is a c_model the 70 FOV Fix pack already fixes it.
I've been doing more work into the Coal Shovel I have ~ Made the head of the shovel look like theres bits broken off ~ Made a couple of loose nails ~ Bent the shovel a bit ~ Made the handle of the shovel look broken off [T]http://imgur.com/ueY8c4T.jpg[/T] Feel free to give me some more suggestions
Feel free to give me some more suggestions
the neck usually doesn't just jam into the middle of the blade. the receptacle for the neck is usually shaped from the blade's back lip. why are there nails along the neck?
the neck usually doesn't just jam into the middle of the blade. the receptacle for the neck is usually shaped from the blade's back lip. why are there nails along the neck?
The nails on the neck were to give more variety to the shovel. I'll remove it if you want As for the neck, I'm working on it
