Well, That was fast.
What about one where the top button is open so that you can have blighted beak while you use that.

do not redistribute anywhere thanks<3
cheers to Karma Charger for packing up the mod and making the sounds
How's the Mods.tf site coming along btw?
Pretty well. The framework and core functions are basically done. Just got to make a site from them.
I've been taking a particular interest in this discussion and am wondering what your thoughts are on a licensing system that we can have for mods.tf?
I am quite happy to implement a license dropdown when uploading a mod to the site.
Perhaps the options could include.

You are permitted to redistribute this mod with a link to the mod page on mods.tf, and can modify the mod as you please.
Do what you want!

Do those options sound good, or are more required?
Thanks for bringing this discussion up, it's something that I've been considering asking about.
Being able to pick those disclaimer when you upload you submission would be a great feature.
And that it clearly pops up on the page so users cant miss the notice.
Sounds great, when do you need reinforcement with people throwing imagery at you or testing the site to its limit?

Nah, i am afraid that doesn't really look good

It all sounds great. Can't wait to see the finished product. Natko laughed at me for saying Mods.tf could be a competitor to GameBanana for TF2 mods, btw. I do see Mods.tf as a possible competitor where people would ans should go to release TF2 mods in the future.

Unfortunately, I am away this weekend and as such won't be able to work on it until the weekend.
But when I return, I'll be pulling out all the stops and trying to get the core site finished before the end of July.
It might not be amazingly featureful, it might not be amazingly beautiful, but it'll work, damnit!
Keep in mind that it'll be open source and anyone who wants to contribute can!

Ha. Well I'm likely going to need a lot of help with hosting if it becomes anywhere near as big as that.
Currently I'm only intending to create a precise tool to allow easy dissemination of gold star mods.
Other categories, such as sound mods may come, but for now I'm going to make the original specification the top priority.

Once Mods.TF's up and running, should I delete my GB account?
A complete and full dedicated TF2 Mods site in the making is great and all, but hold your horses it requires a shitton of work and time for it to be as great to overshadow established sites like GB.
So in short: No?
Once Mods.TF's up and running, should I delete my GB account?
I doubt you'd want to do that.
As I say, it'll be a precise tool and not really a wide ranging mod database, like GB.
Also I'm only one guy, so I don't want such pressure! D:

On drink: ... Really? Your funeral, man.

I say delete it right now anyway. Fuck 'em. The site is the shits and most of it is because of the godawful moderation team other than MissRawr who is a 9 year member and one of the original moderators who actually cares about things being handled properly and shares similar views to mine on the current GB mods failing to do their job properly.
Believe me, she added me on Steam shortly after posting that One More Thing blog on GB and told me she agrees with many of the points I made in both blog posts.
Still up for grabs!

when mods.tf comes out, I'll be transferring all my two sound mods for tf2 to there
this is exciting!

Well, as I say. Just gold star for initial release.
Sorry!

To you and anyone else reading this who is gonna quit GameBanana: when you do, make a blog post or a thread explaining why and at the end of the post, add in "Long live 404!" or "Logan fears 404" or something like that :v:
I wanna see what kind of effect that'd have on the GB community. Maybe it'd inspire more people to quit GB.

Decided to do a quick experiment to see if using the SFM player models to replace the first person models would work. Just to keep things more consistent between the third and first person models, but mainly because of beautiful gorgeous-looking fingertips.

I'd actually like to see the opposite attempted; seeing the first person arms stitched onto the player models.
I'm not sure if it would look good at all but it'd be interesting.

Probably would look something along the lines of this.

Without the garbled mess for arms of course, but it certainly looks odd either way.
