Hey guys, I made this incredibly awesome looking MS Paint* concept art so I guess I'll just drop it here and let it shine its glory on everyone.
HLMV shots aren't really like ingame views. The lighting is really different, there can be huge differences in the quality of the AA/textures/other settings and there's no access to particles. Along with probably a few other things I can't think of right now.
it's still a much better view to reflect it in the character animations rather than reference or handmade posing i say hlmv because actual ingame photos make it much harder to distinguish and hlmv at least shows you a general idea

Try using the collar to your advantage.
does anyone have any medic flex files that doesnt have a messed up neck? i cant tell where to move the hat on most of the flexes because of it
last time i checked, most of the hats that were adjusted for this mod had messed up world physics. have these been fixed?
If they were messed up before they arent any better now. I figured if a hat had a phymesh that I wouldnt need to edit it since the edited hat is still in the same position as before but maybe compiling on the Z axis messed it up, if so I'l take a look at it.
WIP3 rigged Also practicing doing my own promos. It was fun painting again after a long while.
Not sure if I"m all aboard the late train or what, but I"m having a problem. My animating partner contacted me a little while ago about adding some new taunts into the game. I was recently given the source files and managed to get all the VCDs together and ready for compilation. Everything is saved and ready to go...but it appears that now, when using faceposer, trying to rebuild scenes.image does absolutely nothing. I checked my custom directories, my common\Team Fortress 2\tf\scenes directory, and even went as far as my username pre-steampipe directory for tf2. The file doesn't appear to be in any of them. Has there been a found method to recompiling scenes.image for TF2 or did Valve fuck up once more?
To continue with my luigi's mansion soundscape mod, I was thinking of replacing the conga and or square dance music with some more Luigi's Mansion samples, like this. Any idea what I should do with it?
Just got done with the first release of my HUD, if anyone's interested in that sort of thing.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/aXOOSxW.png[/t] also somehow it disabled my crosshair, even unistalling it wont get the crosshair back
The only explanation I have is that you had another mod installed that changed ClientScheme.res and overwrote the custom fonts installed. I should've mentioned that this is meant to be a pretty complete package and using it with other HUD/UI mods is very much untested and doing so is at your own risk. As for crosshairs, I don't have experience with custom crosshairs so if you've got one installed, that may have been the issue (I'm aware the HUD has custom crosshairs available, but they're a leftover from FLVHUD and I don't plan on having them part of the HUD in the future). I recommend resetting your crosshair with the "crosshair 0" then "crosshair 1" commands, beyond that I'm unaware on how to help as I use the defaults.
Speaking of HUDs, I finally got a [sp]effectless and lame[/sp] Killstreak weapon to test with.

Messing around with the Pip-Boy's UI scheme. How's this look? [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/597041094569865286/95A7B1E99D33083D2D630C6EB6FD4DA8962886D7/[/t] Not too sure about the Vault-Engie, though. Should I make it like the original, or keep the scanlines?
Also about the RietHud, i just have some weird things like the text that is bigger even in minmode and i cant see the numbers entirely : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=279261397 2nd thing is that it makes my game crash, when i leave a coop (mannup) server and click on any button on the menu, the game crashes, dunno if it's linked to my Tweaked cfg (Chris fps) but with other huds i dont have this bug.
I haven't tested minmode but since most elements aren't set up to use it, it makes sense that it's not working properly. I'm not sure why the numbers aren't using the correct font, but I'm gonna have to go with the same thing I said above, you may have a ClientScheme.res file somewhere that is overriding the one in the HUD. As far as the crashing, I've had that with vanilla FLVHUD as well, it crashed when clicking on anything after going into the MvM menus, and I'm not sure why. I just avoid it, and restart TF2 after playing MvM.
Anyone can make that music a Conga replacement ? (Also anyone can give me the Stayin' Alive replacement ?)
Anyone can make that music a Conga replacement ?
C'mon guys, I've seen this asked so many times, and it's so easy to do. 1. Create a new folder named whatever you want, put another inside named "sound", and then another folder inside named "music" 2. Find a video to MP3 converter (this is what I use) 3. Extract audio using site's instructions, and download 4. Open said MP3 in an audio editor of your choice (again, this is what I use) 5. Save as "conga_sketch_167bpm_01-04", file type "wav" in the music folder you created under sound 6. Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\bin", and drag and drop the first folder (the one with "sound" inside) to "vpk.exe", under common\Team Fortress 2\bin 7. Copy and paste the new .vpk to your custom folder, usually in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom" 8. Launch the game
This will have facial flexing right?
Im trying that out now. I'm a little rusty but nappy's guide to blender flexing is pretty handy. Nonetheless even without flexing it doesnt clip.
Just pushed an update to the RietHUD GitHub that removes all custom crosshairs, as well as adds a Killstreak icon to the counter on the HUD (thanks Kinsie!). VPK version will only be updated once a significant amount of work has been done, so if you're having issues with crosshairs, I highly recommend switching to the GitHub version for now.
Tried a borderless style. Dunno if I like it or not: [t]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/597041094574230125/96DA03AE0C1CEDA68779E872D30CD11B16685EBA/[/t] Also, error prompts on the PDA are now the enemy/damage color from Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Can anyone tell me what the proper format to save vtfs in is? Using the old Silhouette Fortress mod by Pako in conjunction with NoHats and NoBodygroups, but my Spy arms will not go invis when cloaked. I guess DXT5 for both options is the incorrect format.
I noticed this weird issue with the Tools of the Trade [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/451798841894414627/4F8C81847815D42011045B98B7A55436785C87FE/[/t] Its much darker than the rest of the lighting on the engineer
