Thinking about removing the paint from the Modern Mastermind's tie. I'm on my school laptop, so I can only do crude paintovers for now.

Personally, I would prefer if only the tie was paintable and it's the scarf that wasn't.

Have a style where ONLY the tie is painted.
Have a style where ONLY the scarf is painted.

couldn't he just have a changeable bodygroup? then again thats out of the realms of possibility for mods.
different bodygroup for different vmts?
How come they arent possible? For example, the Gibus can be changed between each of its variants if you have them in the loadout screen. The War Pig with / without the mask. Stuff like that.
I probably missed something on Valve's end that denies creators the ability to add styles, but then again I dont know anything about this sort of software / making models, etc. Im just some dinosaur who screws around editing textures now and then or appreciating the hard work other people make in their mods, without any knowledge of how to do anything myself :P
is there a way to make a CP map where there are 4 points, but instead of capping all wins, there's a point limit where the more caps a player has=they get that many points every __ seconds? Would it also be possible to make the caps instant? I want to recreate Zones from Timesplitters.

couldnt you just create a seperate, hidden workshop entry containing the other style(s) similar to what i think ayesdyef mentioned doing with the voguish rogue, and when/if valve accepts the item, present them the available styles as well?

Importer doesn't support it yet. You can still post an item with styles, it just won't be gold starred an likely not accepted because of it.

Unless the actual smds for each style were different (like the Blood Banker had when it was first contributed with styles), you could just use skins, bodygroups just make it more complicated.
Either way, Valve don't allow styles through gold star, so it's all pretty pointless.

It's not an error in the importer itself, the importer is still a work in progress and doesn't support a lot of features yet.

I figured I'd ask since the only other way to get them in SFM is to downgrade and copy the old animation files into the current release. Figured I'd like to know if I contributed somewhat.
