Even if an object is hidden, if it's little camera icon is on in the outliner it will still influence the render. Only other thing I can think of would be co-plainer geometry. Anything else I'd want to look at your model and scene.

I'm foreseeing several problems with coding and logistics, but I was thinking about possibly expanding the concept of partner taunts. For example, you get together four people to form a barbershop quartet or three people for a human pyramid.
