Anyone tried modeling an all-class duster coat? Kinda like this one, except without the armor, mask or jeans:
in addition to what I've already said, if you choose not to use the taunt, it's just letting you know an enemy is coming around the corner. a bit unfair in my opinion
[sp]nothing personal![/sp]
You can use any infinite-duration taunt to see if somebody's coming around a corner, though. Not that this means the taunt is a good concept, but being able to see things around corners doesn't make for a valid critique.
Answers one bit of the question.
If you're wondering why I was asking why someone hasn't made an all-class version, it's because it's for some sort of project.
I hate it when Valve restricts away the full customization away from the HUD elements.
I have been trying to figure out how to customize the panel with the 4 available preset buttons. (Yes, loadout presets). It appears that the one for the quick-switch menu is the only one where you can fully customize.
Not like we have follow your enforced bullshit guidelines for HUDs. And try to figure out how to work on custom content for this completely uncharted black void without any official documentation to know and how to use those goddamn controls and available "ControlField"s to use.

The zpos controls this element's (in this one, the buttons controlling the presets for your loadouts) rendering order. ypos and xpos, which are what controls an element's position on the screen, are missing. Manually adding them doesn't work. Attempts to use xpos_override/ypos_override were failures.
</rant>
By the way... this is how far I have gotten myself so far.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/kULyenj.png[/t]
Yes, the buttons are slimmer. It's because there's a template .res file used ONLY for the buttons. Edited for this case. Anyone know how to override this [bullshit] position of the presets' panel?
Could someone update this model? http://tf2.gamebanana.com/skins/126302 I asked SergeantJoe but he never replied to me. List of the issues I noticed:
- Jigglebones for front flap work only for LOD 0
- Weapon falls through the floor after player's death (most likely collision issues)
- No support for Australium skin (easiest part)
There's also no festive variant made. If someone fixes this I'm sure many people would appreciate it.
Will fix sec. Check this post in a little bit I'll edit it.
Having source files around makes things like this easy mode.

Hi everyone ! This is my new hat for the pyro (I like it). Well I think I'm done with the model I just need to spend a bit more time on texturing, I only have the diffuse_red ATM.

that was really bad. the whole motions made no sense at all.
if you were to make a move that somehow micmics the tempo of the huntsman taunt, you could easily go for that iconic Elbow to the guts/Pause/Backhand punch to the face combo.

which part should I make paintable?
[t]http://srv2.jpg.co.il/6/53c300bf4838f.png[/t]
Late - facial hair
Agree - gray pipe part
Disagree - brown pipe part
neither.
I forgot to post a new update for my HUD since I posted a new one in the teamfortress.tv HUD thread.

Make a style version where the facial hair is paintable. Even if the rumors of Valve has dumped them are big, it's worth a try.

Actually low shading and shadow settings.
Are the dev textures on rd_asteroid packed in or can you edit the textures? I was thinking of making the reflect textures into portal textures, but I can't seem to find where it is.

They are found under materials/dev/ in the texture .vpks (hl2_msic_dir.vpk for .vmts and hl2_textures_dir.vpk for .vtfs) inside the hl2 folder.
I'm sure they are moddable by simply dumping the .vtfs as "../common/muhportal2tx/materials/dev/reflectivity_{number}.vtf".
There's different reflectivty textures, make sure to find the correct one. 60 is 60%, 70 = 70% and etc.
