i feel like an entire park bench coming out of nowhere is a little too much
yeah, maybe it should just be the medic standing up and feeding
-snip-
Speaking of taunt animations, I'm working on one for the sniper. It's not very fancy, but I thought it would line up ever since I saw those polaroid pictures of targets in the meet the sniper video. Just blocking poses for now, trying to nail down the timing before I start refining poses and then switching to curves. So far, rough blocking tells me it's about 109 odd frames, which is bound to change once I set down to refining.

Sniper most likely draws with his right hand, seeing as he shoots, throws, and swings with his right. It might be just a line, but it's a little detail. Also, lets you make him pull a bullet pen from his pocket instead of from his invisible pocket.
Here's my taunt idea inspired by people sitting on a bench in park. Feeding animation will continue until you press taunt button and you can sit down as much as you want just like Rancho relaxo. Anyone interested to make this?
I'd happily make this if i could use the advice below, so he stands instead and that he whips it the box from behind him.

On this note, could someone tell me what the relationship is between the watch wearing hand and the dominant hand? I'm a lefty but I also wear my watch on my left hand and know a few who do the same, which is why I wasn't paying attention to what might be a fundamental flaw (doy!) What do you guys think?

The core idea is great but right now it seems very stiff and subtle. TF2 isn't stiff, or subtle, you need him to make a big show of pulling out the photos, crossing them off and then perhaps admiring his work a bit - perfect opportunity for a voice line - then put them back. Beyond that, I doubt it matters which hand you wear it on.

I usually end up reworking a few poses in the process to push the rig a bit. I hadn't thought of the admiring handiwork bit - will add that in and thanks for the great suggestion!
Still waiting on the soldier necksnap killtaunt guys. You know you want it.
Still waiting on the soldier necksnap killtaunt guys. You know you want it.
Here is my thoughts on the taunt: - You can activate it voluntarilary by tapping a button. Suggest a button if you want. - If the soldier does the taunt, but does not grab anyone in his reach, the taunt will end. - If the soldier grabs a team mate, he'll put them in a harsh headlock, but then playfully lets them go, the team mate nervously laughing at the "joke". - If the soldier grabs an enemy, he'll put them in a head lock and then with a swift twist, breaks what is left of the enemy's neck in a sickening snap. Time to grapple some damn bears while naked and covered in honey.

Working on a concept by Jukebox Thoughts?

Though, I think the taunt should begin with him emptying the current jar onto the floor, turning around opposite from the initial direction, have him bend his torso over with his knees bent with the jar near his area, zip his pants, then turn back around and smile while holding the jar in the air or something.

Well i messed with the bones of the piss, and fingers, i tried to cover his lack of down under. any other thoughts
Personally, I just don't think Scout suits a beard. His voice is just too high and his attitude is just... wrong for one. He's a bratty punk kid, doesn't seem like the beard-having type to me. Just my two-cents.
so typical bearded college kid?
scout looks like the biggest scumbag possible with a beard and that's probably the intent so it does a good job i think

So, I am trying to Unwrap this thing and only half of the model will texture and the other half textures as the under side. So I got Half a beard textured and the other half textured the wrong way. Anyway to fix this?

Also I've improvised for the bag of food by using the lunchbox, i'l model it soon and replace it which is why it's clipping. No facial expressions as of yet. No finger animations until i make the bag of food so i know where to put them.
Rad your concepts in theory are not bad you reposting them several times and shoddishly chicken scratching them in MS paint is bad
But isn't the Idea the most important thing on a concept? I mean I'm not the one who'll Model or such, my draw are just there to illustrate the idea, and not to show up my drawing skills, since I can't do better then that current sniper concept, which is in my opinion way better then my oldest one (In therm of draw) If I recall, Ronin had (and still have) a group where people post their items idea, not generally a drawing or such. And he made plenty (good) items with their concepts. So, in my opinion, the main goal is the Idea, and not the Drawing by itself (it's a diagram of the Idea) I really can't do better then this, and you're pushing it hard by asking me more. Concepts are made to show off the items on the character (Proportion,if it fit well etc). I even tried to respect the color palette of the sniper and such. You probably forgot that not everyone is good at drawing like you guys.

This doesnt make every concept universally good. You don't have to be a good drawer, you just have to be able to think rationally. Quit being a brat that uses the excuse "NOT EVERYONE IS BORN WITH THIS TALENT" because just about every contributor in this thread worked to earn their skills and i suggest you do so too.
You don't understand that I just SUCK at drawing, I put some effort on that sniper one. You think that's it's just "easy", to draw over characters with just a mouse, when I already suck with a pen.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/wn2CXwi.jpg[/t] Sorry for making this look like a repost, but I really really had to redo my concept since I wasn't really happy with the outcome of the original thing. So, I added more details here and there. If you guys want to, I might redraw the hat too. Up for grabs as usual. (sorry again)

If no one claims it, you lost, move on. Once you're good enough, you shouldn't even have to post more than once.
