I'm not begging for attention. I don't go every page, "hey look at me". I just didn't know I was shit at the stuff I do.
Well it's not mine, but Q. used itemtoast, so clearly we know who to blame!
I have never once had this problem in something like 30 mod releases
Didn't figure out how to use itemtest :/
I have never once had this problem in something like 30 mod releases
I think he's just not used to itemtoast, so he buggered something up. I wasn't blaming BANG nor itemtoast.
The hair is way too shiny.

Just a little thingy I did the texture for.
*fixed* 4th attempt at releasing this. Thanks to Smashman for hosting.
Decided to speed-sketch a few weapons while doodling. I don't really plan on making weapons, so these are up for grabs if anyone wants to model and texture them. The Blockbuster is intended to work as a Grenade Launcher reskin and the Booster Shot is designed as a "modernized" Crusader's Crossbow reskin, where the back still falls out on reload. Hey guys, I'm having some trouble again with my model. This time I have no clue as to why this problem is happening. As you can see, there's a perfect grey rim above the black band, but it cuts off oddly in the front and puts some grey color on the top of the band. Everything else looks perfect on the hat, it's just that one spot that's blatantly off-key. When I look at the model with the texture in Blender, that odd area is perfectly colored. There's no weird color interception on the texture or anything. Have a look: In the above picture, I'm looking at the hat in the same angle as the TF2 item up-loader and have highlighted the "problem" faces. As you can see, the texture in the problem area looks perfectly fine, but that doesn't seem to be the case once the item is rendered in-game. Does anyone know why this might be and how I could fix it? Again, if you need any more info, just let me know and I'll try to give it to you. By the way, besides the obvious problem, what do you guys think of the hat in general?

[t]http://i.imgur.com/01xeWwU.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/zEvR37g.png[/t] Working on textures for the concept I drew that Insaneicide brought to life. The brown patch would be paintable.
for the record, could you use [t] instead of [img]? frustrating having to scroll to look at it i would guess something with the texture or it wasnt fully unwrapped but i'm not sure
that's only really useful for full screen screenshots, you should get a bigger monitor if it bothers you too much
that's only really useful for full screen screenshots, you should get a bigger monitor if it bothers you too much
Well i tend to have my browser cropped to the side so i can do work and things on the other moreso i need a 2nd monitor than a bigger one but i can't find a decent one
But my stuff is terrible and i'm more hated than exor You just have to accept yourself and work with the criticism you're given
still not as hated as me :^)) [editline]14th May 2014[/editline]
that's only really useful for full screen screenshots, you should get a bigger monitor if it bothers you too much
some of us have no money for monitors :^(
So, I wasted some time thinking the almighty Question. "There are so many Engie Mining Misc. items and Cowboy items and more... How could I possibly make anything else." Well, Here is some more mining stuff. Might convert to a Archeologist since no one has done that. Pardon the hammer, was Just tired and rushed jobbed it
That shotgun would clip a ton with his right hand, go look at how he holds the regular shotgun.
I'd quote everyone but yeah. thanks. I'm not in it for rewarding, I use to think I was atleast somewhat good in the modeling aspect, but coming here made me realize I suck at everything, even the robots in my deviantart. I already knew I'm not a good drawer, as either I draw alright, or as you all seen, bad. I honestly keep trying, but to me it's never good enough after seeing others works. I guess I have to lower my standards or something, as I use to list my Gundams an Transformers as some of my best work, and I don't even do that anymore. Might even have to do as friends always say "it's good/great" and that they like it. I never got told "It's shit, get better" or "you did this wrong". And with all the disagrees and boxes all my stuff gets, I guess I finally get the feedback I needed, that it was all crap. So in a way, thanks. Anyway, thanks all.
Hit me up on Steam if you need help with modeling anytime.
Hit me up on Steam if you need help with modeling anytime.
Thanks, but I'm gonna take a small break from modeling. Wanna try my hand at texturing for awhile, seems fun. Especially with ArtRage.
Thanks, but I'm gonna take a small break from modeling. Wanna try my hand at texturing for awhile, seems fun. Especially with ArtRage.
i used to love texturing a year or so ago, i did it so much. i would find any chance just to fuck with minecraft before the update and tbh i was pretty damn good at it. now i hate it. i think i just did it a bit too much.
Well i tend to have my browser cropped to the side so i can do work and things on the other moreso i need a 2nd monitor than a bigger one but i can't find a decent one
they were pretty small images so whatever

I'm thinking about making a mod hoster allowing for different versions like that. We'll see... [editline]asjikdas[/editline] Because it seems like a shame that every promo now seems to greet you with a crappy Dropbox landing page because of their change. (God I'm glad they left it for users that used to have it)
Surprise! Sorry for releasing this so many times, I was just so excited to share this with you guys so I released the other versions without a single thought. Now includes some images related to "major" promo updates and less greenscreen pixels!
looks really cool! although something about them seems off, but I'm not sure what it is
Well shit. I realized why my two workshop items looked flat. I must be doing something wrong as it loses detail. Unflattened [t]http://i.imgur.com/p8WZ42d.png[/t] Flattened [t]http://i.imgur.com/fXsBv3d.png[/t] Texture is WIP, regardless it's something a bit serous. Would like to know what to do.
Well shit. I realized why my two workshop items looked flat. I must be doing something wrong as it loses detail.
New layer>image>apply image?
New layer>image>apply image?
Tried it. Here's the file incase someone needs it. https://www.mediafire.com/?2gbf1prnh5c8pd7 Gonna post in the Photoshop forum, might be a better idea. [editline]14th May 2014[/editline] Found a somewhat shitty way On the brushstroke layer, I made it Difference instead of multiply. Then I merged the layers, then went to Image>Adjustments>Invert Sounds like a lot of unnecessary steps. [t]http://i.imgur.com/oSWQMYz.png[/t] Looks better when done though.
i have no idea what you're doing?
