I have a problem. Whenever I render to texture (in 3ds Max), it looks like this:

What could I be doing wrong?
Not enough padding, but that UV looks pretty wonky either way

3ds does this to me all the time. as soon as i put the bake into the game the bake actually looks flush as if there was no seams. but that might just be me.
View > Show Materials in Viewport As > Hardware Display with Maps
Although as others have said, your automatic UV sucks, and you should turn padding near the top of the render to texture dialog up to at least 4.
was the ugly envmap ever intended on the YER?
it looks so much better without it.
I could try getting valve to edit the vmt.
never automatically unwrap anything unless you're testing model geometry or something

idk, but try expanding the grey parts on the texture by like 2 pixels.

i feel the stripes should also gradient along with the pants here. would be kinda strange to have pants burnt/singed at the bottom but the design on the side was left unscathed.

I can rig it, but not perfectly to the model. I can sculpt it, but I don't know how to make the sculpt into a normal.
Does anyone more talented than I want to take the overcover over for me?

Use [URL="http://www.xnormal.net/"]xNormal[/URL] to make your sculpt in to a normal. You just export the high and low poly from whatever software you're using as an obj and then load them in to xNormal.

The viewmodel for Scout's pistol isn't team colored, no idea why.
Also working on some Festive packs, starting off with Scout. Got all of the primary weapons done, but the secondary ones are taking a bit because the pistols use a world model, despite it being a c_model. I also have the Lugermorph done, just not sure if I should wait or upload it.
Do five second paint jobs count as good skins?

you could just remove a single line in the .vmt though
