Explosive headshots [IMG]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/32668357/Face_Punch/kill_icons/sniper_mvm/sniper_explosive.png[/IMG] as you can probably see im trying to make mvm kill icons because im over seeing generic icons for the new special ways of killing robots (shield, explosive, sentry buster kills other bots to name a couple).

Have you to got any tips for making kill icons? It seems kill icons are the only thing im any decent at when it comes to making stuff with an image editor for tf2. I feel like ive understood the basics but i think my detailing is a bit off. ------ i also updated the medigun kill icon to fit within the dimensions + gave it a little color. don't forget the tank crush :> you could also do one for the deflector, since it's technically a unique gun. also, you probably shouldn't put teamcolors in the icons, since robots might have medigun shields too someday.

Robots affected all around the headshot victim have nothing to do with the bullet responsible, so you should probably remove or rework the "headshot" part of the icon. The hazard itself is the field of electricty.

The reasoning behind the headshot part was mostly due to them busting from the headshot near the affected bot. i will do some other things to the icon too, maybe make it just a bot on its own with the explosion in it.

I'm using a mixture of the stock killicons and Neodements (with permission from Neo of course) on my HLStatsX page. I even coded a custom plugin up to change the logclassnames of things like certain killing taunts with certain weapons (i.e. Saxxy Fencing, Spy-Cicle Backstab). Check out the weapons part of my HLStats: [url]www.ungfamomg.net/hlstats[/url] I made my own Medic Shield killicon but it's weird looking (a dual-colored red/blue shield shape over top of an electrified little guy). It'd be nice to have a shield killicon for each medigun (except botkillers/festives because I don't track those separately) because I want to make a medic shield plugin modification using the plugin from alliedmods and make it use a different logclassname based on the players equipped medigun (i.e. shield_medigun, shield_kritzkrieg)

What about using the normal headshot icon, but replacing the tracer and the bullet with a yellow zap? either way, the bleed inflicted by the attack is what's causing the kill. I'm not sure how valve could implement it :S
