Probably not. But my point is the announcer was commonly referred to by that drawing because it was so well known it was the common face given by the community. That medic's wife comic is now well known enough that she's the common face for the character.
When Valve decided to show the announcer, they decided to choose the common face. So if, for some reason, they choose to make medic's wife official, they'll probably do the same.
It would be awesome to have Doc's wife in something.

Eh, I don't see the problem. The domination line was funny, it spawned some funny comics, and the community ran with it. That's what a community does.

That's what our community does... Scout's mom turns up as a joke in a video, and the community evolved that into the relationship of Scout's broken home... with a mother he loves, and a step father who he will never truly accept.
