That pyro animation posted a page back would be cool as a kill taunt for the degreaser OR sledgehammer
Grenades are for the demoman, and imo it should be left at that.
why cant the pyro make a trail of gasoline w/ his flamethrower, and then shoot his fire at it to make the gasoline go on fire?

I'd prefer, him setting himself in fire, and then running randomly setting everyone he touches in fire. (overpowered flames :v:)

Here's an idea I always thought was awesome.
How about a weapon that makes Pyro explode if he dies? The explosion sets fire to all enemies closeby. This would make for some interesting strategies involving Pyros essentially suicide-bombing large groups of enemies, basically the Pyro equivalent of the caber. It could be balanced out by the flames not doing as much damage/not burning as long.

Rewarding death is not a good design ethic. It's tantamount to rewarding failure. I went on a rant about a similar topic in the Advanced Weaponiser thread, it was pages 48 and 49.
Give the Pyro a semi automatic shotgun with an airblaster and grenade launcher -> problem solved with tacticool shit.
Also the words you're looking for a 'glass with gasoline' is a Molotov cocktail.

It would probably have to replace the secondary weapon, and it would probably have to function like the bottle of piss for example, so 1 grenade that splashed oil on impact and sets it on fire, with flamethrower and melee weapon with other weapons.
[b]OR MAYBE[/b] A NEW Flamethrower, that instead of the airblast (if backburner beta change sticks to live,) it could shoot a motherfucking [b]FIREBALL[/b] out of the second "barrel" strapped on to the whole thing.
With 2nd mouse click, you'd have to load it up, something similar to the charge n' targe loading speed, with overload dealing dmg to pyro, and with non-critical loaded fireball, it would deal normal damage as a projectile. with precise load (and aim) you'd do a critical fireball-projectile that gibs the enemy.
Fireball would deal firedamage, but wouldn't set people on fire. The normal flamethrowing damage would be either lesser, or the same as default, but with none-to-little afterburn, given the alt-fire. cooldown of it.. i dont know.

That's only when they're on the ground already, it shoves them back a short ways and swaps their team. If they're still in the air, it fully redirects the grenade in the direction it's airblasted. I've killed plenty of Demos with carefully timed airblasts.
Seriously, guys, if you want to use Nades just visit the MAD clan server. They've managed to balance out the Nades pretty well so they can't be spammed and aren't completley OP...except for the Spy nade. I HATE spy nades...(They obscure your vision)
