Obviously got jarate'd by red sniper and froze. That is also the reason he has #2 sniper cup.
Boy fuckin' howdy, can you imagine what the internet's gonna be like when Half-Life 3 gets unveiled and turns out to be a mere videogame?
I honestly think Valve is scared out of their pants to release it. Can you imagine how high people's expectations are going to be for the game after waiting over half a decade?
And when is that snow gonna be a wearable cosmetic?
They were uploaded as items named Frosted Tips and Cold Shoulders, but were ultimately cut from in-game use kinda early on in the item-making process. Instead we focused on making it look as good as we could make it for its appearance in the short, which required HWM flexes and texture edits of the Sniper himself.

What happens when you're a sniper in the mountains without any supplies for almost a year.

Was this part supposed to be a reference to 'the Shining'?

I already got the reference.
When I first saw the first seconds of this vid, I honestly thought that it was going to tell how he got there though a flashback. But alas. Still amazing vid thought.
Why, it's just a symbol of the BLU team's desperate state. They're cut off from supplies, they're freezing, and they just want to blow up RED base in the valley to force Mann Co to resume shipment to the BLU base. Sniper already almost froze to death waiting there, doesn't matter how exactly.
Thanks for point that out. I didn't noticed that sign at the beginning of the vid.

Well actually he didn't freeze to death. You can see his pupils move towards the coffee when the BLU Soldier sets it down in front of him, which I found rather amusing.
I finally watch the End of the Line (waited til I was back home, so I could watch it in HD) and it was, pretty good.
However, The soundtrack was fantastic! I think my favorite song was the credits. I hope MCVee releases full versions of all the songs.
[editline]Edit:[/editline]
Also all the songs should be added to TF2, because they are all amazing.

Pretty sure they're on itunes/the google version atm
It's not the short's fault that you overhyped it. I'm not disappointed because I didn't, I think this was great and lived up to the trailer.
I didn't care about the trailer a year ago, I didn't care when the update was originally announced to be a full-fledged thing, and I didn't much care for the short now that it's out.
I expected less-than-stellar and I'd still say it was overhyped.
That's not to say it was bad and didn't have good moments here and there, but on the whole it felt very inconsequential and added nothing new to TF2.
Robotic Boogaloo at least introduced the idea that Valve was willing to allow the community to band together and make an update to be officially released and integrated into the game.
End of the Line introduced... that Valve will let people make 15 minute shorts so they can sell merch based on it?
It's taken me so long to notice this but the red and white (wow just noticed the Red and Wytes pun as well) barrels at the end of the line make up a target. :v:

Nice meme. Wrong thread, though.

Hence I said almost.
It kind of sucks though how RED always has to win in Valve videos
Valve seems to hate BLU in general
I can accept the fact that in MVM, RED + BLU vs Robots is streamlined to RED vs Robots, but even in the goddamn comics it's been changed to all RED
dude it's a tradition, BLUs lose
