I think Kibbleknight is just upset because instead of actually providing criticism he got a random offhanded shot on his work. And to me, the knee and elbow pads are the only things that you could use to link it to roller-derby, which makes the "critique" all the more confusing.

she has too much of a grandma face compared to the sketch. the model is great, but seems a little TOO much detail was put into the face
My main problem with it is the "battle ready lipstick"
plus, her hair should be brushed back, not a cloud, in my opinion. like in the sketch.
plus make the face a bit smoother and make the lips longer, she looks like a granny face.

Makani (The drawings I quoted, the model Max posted was made by ChemicalAlia). She's the one who does pretty much all the TF2 comics nowadays.
She used to post a lot of TF2 fanart/genderbends until she got hired by Valve when her headcanon Announcer became the actual Announcer.

That design would be alright if the body armour protected more than the upper chest. It kind of defeats the purpose of body armour if it does not even protect vital organs.
I loved Makani's Demo, but it always struck me as too much Blaxploitation, not enough alcoholic bipolar disorder. The new design is a bit closer in that regard, though the face does kinda bother me. Something about the cheeks.

Unless I was told wrong by the woman herself when I was there in august, she's just there on commission/contract atm for the bi-monthly tf2 comic, nothin' more, nothin' less.
