I'm guessing people's standards are too high now or something? I really dislike the hive mentality of people labeling something as 'dumb'. Considering that's his second ever SFM, it's actually really impressive. It's clear that there was alot of effort put into it too. What's dumb about that?
Also, props to him for trying to tackle walks/run. It's really not easy. Even if it doesn't look right, you've got to start somewhere.

Standards are quite high and you can't really avoid people making comparision with whats already been done. even if its his second short, there are some elements that definitivaly have nothing to do with how much time you spend animating a short, such as the nonsensical, weak plot that is basically the exact same thing he did on the previous one. it went basically like this:
-the pyro relaxing doing nothing, he gets a call for help.
-walks into the enemy(?)'s base and everyone is ok with it.
-there's a leader and he kills him, it turns out this makes everyone aggro on him.
-he walks out and kills people until there is no one else.
the end.
as far as animation goes, there was nothing particulary impresive and there was plenty room to improve, because it was bad and poor.
Hive mentality? because we disliked it? yeah sure. effort means nothing and really doesnt factor into how you should judge someone else's work because you're supposed to put effort into what you do to achieve a degree of quality.

Evidently, seeing as putting the effort into stating my opinion is always in vain.
Animation was impressive, but the main problem of it was the lack of conflict.
Every story must have one, all we're seeing is the pyro walking into the castle and slaughtering all opposing forces without at least a battle scene or showdown.
Also music choice is terrible, and the way it changes from one track to another.

i'm sure you took a lot of effort into making it something personal.
My biggest problem with it was the extreme tone shift once the 'fight' started

May not be the best Gmod video out there (according to some) but it sure does beat videos with only rubber faces with silly/strange expressions.

He was playing video game in his shack and then he goes and fights like TF2 zombies and stuff that come out of coffins He had a sword and like some shotguns I think?
It was a GMOD video with amazing animation. I am remembering it and it was a simple title like "cp_degroot keep" or something of that sort. Anyways. I'm looking for
it and it is amazing. If you know what I am talking about and are too lazy to post it, please do. It's worth it to me and the oither people I am sure will enjoy it.

Hours and hours of effort, that prop must've given him a lot of hell during all those 3 months. If common cosplays can take lots of work, I can't even begin to imagine the crafting hell for this beast. Props to him.
