a mandatory update for tf2 has been released.
-added galvatron, an entity that randomly invades players backpacks and destroys all metal. this change has been made in partnership with hasbro to aid the tf2 economy.

"Can destroy any known metal."
Well then, it's a good thing Valve made all crafting recipes known to everyone three years ago.

I hope I smell a lawsuit.

I was hoping someone would mention that. Hasbro is extremely trigger-happy with filing DMCA notices towards My Little Pony merchandise that was created with a company or individual not affiliated with them. Kinda ironic. I would imagine it would be interesting, two big companies like Valve and Hasbro having an issue like that.

I'd love to see them get a taste of their own medicine.
TF2 already has a MLP hat in it though. I think they'd just silently stare at each other.
Besides, when has Valve ever sued anybody?

This is the point where I bring up an image of my re-described Magical Mercenary:

Oh god, my bad.
I'm going to feel the same way when End of the Line comes out and fucking obliterates us all. I made sure to get this out before then so it doesn't get completely overshadowed. :v:

only a month? it's taken me 6 months to figure out how to properly use the graph editor at all.

Yeah I practically drop my jaws every time I see fluid walk cycles like that. I always end up using the easy method for making characters walk...

Just a quick question, I'm just starting out on sfm: I'm trying to imagine how to make complex animations (didn't try yet) involving more than one body part. Do you just puppeteer it? if so how do you handle it if the other attached body parts are moving as well? I find it really hard to screenspace rotate a static object already.

Great work btw
Go through the official tutorials by Valve, paying extra attention to the bits about character posing, IK rigs and the Graph Editor. You'll figure it out pretty quick.
Decided to play medieval since I really hadn't played it for long time.
Caught this little replay in the process.

I wish there was a simple answer to this but there really isn't. :v: With the runs I block out the feet and pelvis movements first and then deal with the upper body stuff later. I lock the hands to the pelvis to keep everything in place. When I get to the upper body I just wing it I do what makes sense in my head. You have to consider stuff like balance, line of action, momentum and all that kindof stuff while you're animating. Also, just having fun and practising it is good of course.

Not sure if you were hoping for The Escapist or PCGamer to cover you, but it's a thing now.

Just curious, but I thought Murray is busy doing his project ? does he still have the time to point you directions on animations ?

And then we get shitty promos that the TF2 community has to fix for Valve.
