so this happened yesterday
It's surprising how popular TF2 cosplaying is, and how most of the time it is done well.

Hell, I could cosplay as an engineer as soon as I can get my hands on a utility belt, extension cords, a calculator, work boots, industrial knee pads, yellow gloves with grey tips, and a yellow industrial helmet worn backwards. And goggles. Okay, this might take a little longer than soon. But I got a pair of overalls ready!
I'm not sure if this is what the thread is for..
anyway, have this

Reminds me of what happened to me... One time I was on 2fort as an ambassador spy, not really playing seriously. There was nobody around, and for no real reason, I jumped, did a 360 in midair, and fired my ambassador. And headshot-killed an invisible spy. Ten seconds later I was banned for aimbot.

If only I could cosplay without being that ugly fat chick that makes her favorite character look awful, and makes herself look like an idiot by extension. Last Halloween, I cosplayed as Ellis at a party. As soon as I got into my costume I wanted to beat myself with a lead pipe for ever thinking I could pull it off.
Maybe my current attempt at weight loss will be more successful than the previous one. I would do so much cosplay if I could, including plenty of TF2 cosplay.

Now I'm sad. :c
But that's enough of my self-pity. I have yet to contribute art to this thread, so here. Have a WIP because it's all I have on me. (I don't draw much anymore since I've left DeviantART, which is really bad. I need to draw more. Do you guys think I should break down and get a Tumblr or something? Having some place to regularly post my art would probably be good for me.)

I'm trying out a new technique with this one, so it's pretty slow going, although I am pretty proud of the sketch and honestly kinda like how it looks at this stage. I like rough, sketchy things. :P Also, the actual current version has Sniper's face all painted but he looks high as fuck even though the sketched version looks just fine and I can't fix it and ASKDJNASKJDNJDNFPAINTINGYUNOWORKWITHME

Don't let anything discourage you from your hobby, just cosplay what you want if you like cosplaying. Tons of cosplayers can pull off their own version of characters without having to be carbon copies of them, no matter their body type, facial features or gender/sex. Cosplay is mostly about fun (It's "costume play" after all), so don't be too hard on youself for it and do it if you want to.
Work on whatever you want to improve about youself if that helps you, but the most important thing is gaining that confidence in youself. I'm not saying it's going to be easy or quick, just take baby steps, do what you like the most and the rest will come rolling by itself; and in the end things will get better and better. Not pitch-perfect, but you'll definitely feel things going much more smoothly.

I think you should make the animation a bit bouncier.
Its not mine.

I suppose that's one of the reasons why TF2 cosplay is so popular: You don't have to be the Heavy, you can be a Heavy, a version of your own creation. It's much easier to do that in TF2 than in lots of other fandoms. I guess if I ever get around to putting together another costume, I know what it'll be for. Thank you for the encouragement. <:)
I, for one, am a little too bulky to pass as a realistic BLUE Spy, but nevertheless ...

It was actually one of my finest cosplay experiences because I went around town actually enacting the part, stalking people, be them women, men, children. Good times
If you want, I have also a photo with the same costume with a Naruto mask and a picture of the equipment
While we're still talking about cosplays, I might turn my bad TF2 engineer cosplay into much better TFC Engineer one, simply because latter's parts seem easier to get and makes more honor for the character (dear god I don't even want to list how much bad alterations I had to make on my original Engi cosplay).
Only thing that might cause more work is the gun as it seems weirder variation of SPAS-12 so I maybe have to build it myself.
To make sure I'm not here to blabber only about my own cosplay plans, here's some old TF2 comic from dA.

I have to disagree on that. You look just fine to me. :)

That's a great Garrus cosplay, but why did you post it in a TF2 thread?

Here is another Demoknight video. There are more embarrassing deaths in this video than you can shake a SWORD AT HA HA HA thanks folks I'll be here all week. But really Demoknight is a fun mess-around skillset. I've probably got one more Demoknight video and then I will be moving on to other TF2 things.
Regarding some criticism I've gotten, videos after this one will be edited a little tighter so as to not show so much dead air. I figure making it one single highlight reel would kind of spoil the "chill"-ness but I guess a highlight reel is what people want so I'll do it anyway.

You're welcome! :) Best of luck with your cosplays and whatever you want to do! And keep drawing a lot too! Practice will make you draw and colour better and better over time.

There's something special about that smile but I don't know what. Perhaps its the... special(?) lighting on his mouth.

Robin Williams passed away today. I believe this repost is called for.
