Personally I have never been scared by a video game, always thought slenderman was stupid, and all of that amnesia crap never scared me. I tried this game and I wouldn't say it's scary but if you do give it a try I can say that it will catch you off guard or startle you at least. Dont let the silly Chuckie Cheese characters fool you.

If you play the game, you'll probably see why. You don't get the same sense of "Oh shit. I've got very little power and there's some animatronics banging on the door" by watching gameplay.
It's like Amnesia. You can't fight back, you're going to be killed if you cockup (by some pretty spooky things), you've got to juggle resources (electricity - or oil in Amnesia) otherwise you're fucked and you've got the sense that something is going to get you at any time, but with little sign of what or when it will get you.

In all honesty it's more tense than scary. You have a limited amount of power that you can use to defend yourself. Plus you can't even run away from the robots.
