I loved the video and the idea behind it, but I am always bothered when people decide to do this

I don't know why, I just don't feel like it's necessary.
What do you mean exactly?

Not many YTPs manage to stay this funny all the way through, specially for 9 minutes. That was fantastic.
Did those Pyroland environment models ever get a public release?
Wasn't it the whole point of the video to be exaggerated?
Complain about small twitch. Really? It gives "cartoony" look to character.

My favorite so far.
Been trying to upload this for some time now. Made this trying to recreate some old strategy game portraits. Starcraft mostly, to be honest.

And here is the unedited raw version

You could try making the green glow a little bit smaller or try and shape it a bit so it looks like he's staring at a screen and not a huge green light bulb.
The horizontal squishing looks kind of bad.
You should also look into fixing that cut off at the end of the loop
He looks kinda stiff.
Great work though.
remove the filter.

By the filter you mean the TV lines, right?
He looks kinda stiff.

Thank you
I did try to make him a bit more "human" by jittering him togheter with the mechanical beast he is inside.

I would like to do this, but I have no idea how to copy keyframes in a way that makes the demoman go back to his original pose without messing up.

I agree. It was my first time using it. :v:

It's not very visable in the image, but the green glow is coming from a screen in the bottom corner.
Also thanks for all the comments. It's very nice to see some criticism.

You shouldn't do it by copying keyframes, that would make it too obvious, all you have to do is make the animation and environment transition so that the very last frame is very similar to (but not the same as) the first one. In that case, the cut off is very obvious because the lighting and TV static at the end isn't the same as the beginning, fixing that should improve it greatly

[sp]pixar reference[/sp]
To reference is to use a source as a basis for your own work, this is basically the same exact sequence with tf2 models on it.

to be fair i dont remember geri pulling out a glock and offing himself
Yeah, that was the punchline there, it goes exactly like the original to the last detail, and then at one point he just shoots himself out of the blue.
Also the winning side was the one not wearing any glasses but that's not really important
There's no creativity aside from the ending. It seems like you basically said "What if that Pixar short ended with the old guy killing himself instead of the regular ending?", and that's basically Family Guy cutaways sort of funny. Same problem as the earlier Meet the Medic except with Soldier short posted for the Saxxies, changing the ending or some other minor parts of something isn't creative, it's the exact opposite.
Why not change the idea to Heavy versus Engineer or Medic instead to at least get some creative footing? Perhaps the Engineer has designed some super mechanical Chess pieces that literally destroy the Heavy's pieces? Bam, some free creative ideas that don't just rip off the Pixar short except for the ending.
dont get me wrong: the concept itself of the short isnt anything new nor pixar created it. but the execution of said concept its exactly the same as the one pixar did, wich is why the short is a rather pale carbon copy of the original.

In addition to what others have said, such as having the heavy play against the medic or medic, I think that having an enemy spy play against the heavy, win, then disguise as the heavy, and have the real heavy end up shooting himself, would be a good twist.
there's plenty of ways to do the "fight agaisnt yourself" trope.

This is gold, but the only thing tarnishing it is the pace; It's just too fast.

Man I'm so glad to have had a part in making this, kudos to the animators and everyone else who worked on it.

Best comedy or best overall.
Good job to all who worked on this!

A little late, but where did the creator get the "Maybe I'll ask Miss Pauling out" line at 1:15 from? The Spy doesn't say that anywhere in the original short or in-game.
