It's really stressful. I got a headache (from a combination of being pissed and tired) when I was making the new panel because I keep thinking to all of those comments.
It's like you're a chef, you hand your latest unfinished meal to 20 Gordon Ramsays, and they all shout at you, "THIS COMIC IS FUCKING RAW." Okay, I think that sentence didn't make any sense, but I assume you know what I mean.
Anyways, I whipped up something new for Halloween.
Halloween has befallen upon TF2. Participants of all ages come out of the confines of their homes in order to secure sugary delights. Well, for this Halloween, it's just two people in their 20s and an abnormal gas mask monster begging other adults for candy.
Last Halloween, the Scout siblings left on disagreeable terms after the Scout realizes everyone in his team was giving more candy to his Sister (See: Quest for MORE Candy). After patching things up through the lesson of sharing, they once again patterned up for this year's event. The Scout dons on his mummy costume he found in a coffin during his trip in Egypt, and his Sister puts on a chicken hat she literally found on a chicken during her trip in Italy. Both of them were almost prepared to trick or treat, but they both know that they couldn't get the most candy without getting an expert on trick or treating.
The Pyro, a veteran on nabbing the best kind of candy and gizmos (See: Quest for Candy), adored the Burny the Pyrosaur costume gift it received from the Engineer. Even though after the previous two years' mishaps with the Spy that involves a certain remote control and a fire extinguisher (in that order), the Pyro also sought out some new recruits in case if the Spy comes up with another dastardly deed.
The Sister was less than enthusiastic when she heard about the Scout's plan to partner up with the Pyro.
"Do we have to? I mean, he scared the crap out of me when we first met." complained the Sister.
The Scout smiled. "Don't worry," said the Scout, "Mumbles is an alright guy. Or is it a girl? Whatever. We'll just convince Mumbles to share the loot with us."
This didn't convince the Sister one bit. "I'm pretty sure you just want to partner up because you keep on getting the least amount of candy and no one likes you."
The Scout was annoyed by his Sister's seemingly ignorant remark. "H-Hey!", stuttered the Scout. "I'm just as important to this team than anyone else. Besides, you don't even do anything here!"
"I do stuff!", argued the Sister. "I give high-fives to everyone after a mission, cooked for them, cleaned their clothes and weapons; and don't forget the weekly bingo games."
"Ugh fine, but I'm still considered the super awesome member of this team. Now I'm going to try and convince mumbles to partner up with us."
The Scout headed over to the Pyro, who was in the midst of cleaning its teddy bear. "Hey Pyro dude, do you want to trick or treat with me and my Sister?" asked the Scout. The Pyro could only muffle in response. Let's assume that's a yes.
"Cool cool cool." said the Scout. Sister kept her mouth shut and moved behind her brother, trying not to be seen by the Pyro, but to no avail. "Mmph mmph!" said the Pyro, who is now holding up its bear to the Sister. "Hmm, I think it wants your Greybans." The Sister could only stare at the Pyro and its bear. After a brief six seconds of awkward silence, the Sister regain her posture, dug deep into her knapsack, and put her favorite sunglasses on the Pyro's bear. The Pyro responded in glee and hugged the Sister, who is now petrified with fear. She could only mumble to her brother in response, "I...hate...you...dude."
The Scout laughed. "Let's go trick or treating," as he said while whipping a tear from his eye. "We're heading to the Heavy's place. He's bound to have a crapton of candy for us."

tbh you should focus more on making a nice poster and less on trying to turn it into a visual representation of fanfiction
i don't mean the poster is bad i mean it seems like you're spending more time on the essay that comes with it than the picture itself. the photos themselves are generally nice.
I actually had the idea of showing the Spy in front of his finished project, but I scrapped it because it would ruin the pacing or some idiotic reason. I thought it was finished up until people pointed out a flaw with the writing, so I deemed it unfinished because I'm a lazy moron. Anyways, I regret not including another frame that explains what the Spy is doing because after the fix, it just ruins the comic altogether in this site no matter what. However, it's a good thing I posted the unfinished product here so I could improve it for other and larger sites (particularly Reddit).
Too bad most people are really unforgiving, but mistakes are made and are now fixed. Let's leave this behind us and laugh at what we have now (unfortunately, some people will still have a issue with me, but they're stuck in their little inescapable world).
we're getting way too serious here about some gmod comic
well, i can understand it means a lot to you, but you should imply it will mean a lot to everyone else aswell. or the opposite: that now you're being marked as a failure.
Don't think I saw this posted here

Oh, it's late? Uh, ahem, OLD GOLD

Wished I went out and find out if the ak-47 model had a reskin that didn't make it look like plastic toy gun.
always next time if I use it again.
I've been making some promo images for Mooses Suuri's Demo item and I think they've turned out okay:
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/IXpHFRo.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ygTPcCb.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ch4ieQh.png[/img_thumb]
I figured I should keep them pretty simple to make sure the item stands out (since it's a relatively small item). This is my first time making promo images so I'd love any (constructive) criticism so I can improve in the future. :D
i'd suggest some paintover to cover these weird borders on the first image. you might not see them ingame, but they sure look ugly on the promo.
i'd suggest some paintover to cover these weird borders on the first image. you might not see them ingame, but they sure look ugly on the promo.
You mean the interior of them?
exactly

I'll see what I can do then.
why are they modelled that way btw? Why not just have a smaller perfect circle?
why are they modelled that way btw? Why not just have a smaller perfect circle?
No idea, as I said I'm not the modeller (not saying you didn't already read that though, just clarifying).
Is this what you meant Metaru?
[IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/cgHRvWK.png[/IMG_thumb]
uhm, they're bracelets so i'd make more sense if they were not sealed, if you know what i mean.

when it comes to promotional material, especially on areas that aren't ever going to be seen, sometimes you gotta lie, man
I don't know if you would have been okay with us using those but I decided to make my own touch-up of them anyway for a multitude of reasons:
[IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Ve2Fkw9.png[/IMG_thumb]
Thanks for the help guys, criticism goes a long way to making something better! :D
I haven't been paying attention, what are those gauntlets for? Promo?
probably late but here is really quick paintover:
[t]http://i.imgur.com/qSiR0iz.png[/t]
maybe you could make something like that in sfm for main promo image?
[sp]yes its ufo on background[/sp]
Yours is really good but it sorta makes it seem like it's a Halloween specific item (which it isn't). Maybe in the future I'll try and do some cool paint overs like that though. :D
I haven't been paying attention, what are those gauntlets for? Promo?
Nah, it's just an item Mooses has been working on. The way the word 'promo' comes into it is because these pictures are 'promo'tional pictures for it.
The fact that you thought they could be promos is encouraging of their quality, though. :D
So I tried summing up my MVM experience by memory

That engie at the bottom, too poor for a relaxo chair, forced to relax on the ground :< .
Seriously, look at him, he makes me sad.
A commemorative SFM poster I made to celebrate a few items of mine that didn't make it into the game this year:

That's in horrible taste, I hope you know that.

They sound slightly off, I can't place it though.
In comparison to 2012's voicelines.
well, it was more in response to a bunch of comments on the Spooky Shroud claiming it looked like a KKK cloak (which it doesn't really) and a lot of people asking me what the Spooky Skull Paint would look like painted black. It's all in good fun but yeah, exceptionally poor taste :p
