Pretty sure the "idle" animations on a high five are either completely frozen, or a tiny looped segment of the high-five ready animation, not actually their own animations.

I think (in my opinion) the graininess adds to a more theatrical, Source Filmmaker-y look, whereas without the graininess it looks very plastic-y and Garry's Mod, which isn't terrible, but idk
