because it "being free" its the only relevant thing about it.

I have no idea what you're talking about, the new music is awesome!
I don't even have the music enabled in this game. I forgot that there even is menu music until they started adding the songs from the short movie.
However, it's always nice to read when they do something about the performance.

That wouldn't be good enough, instead they could just use "snd_musicvolume 0" or manually mod the game's soundscript files to instead play "common/null.wav" if it works...of course, I've never liked the sound of defeat with all the jeering in the background music because war will never change that way.

I've generally got my video game playlist already started up by the time TF2 hits the menu screen, and I don't like it when two musics clash.
