Hardly. The Sun on a Stick does marginally extra damage (Keep in mind Scoutbat does shit damage from the start) that is useless with no Pyros around, and the Fireaxe is not quite as useful as the Axtinguisher, and as far as I can see only particularly useful on Medieval.
On the bright side, they don't look QUITE as bad as originally thought!

Is why TF gets weapons from Rift
and Rift gets...A generic hat that could very well come from in-game. Why not include Scout's hat+headset, or Soldier's helmet, or Pyro's mask, or am Eyelander+Targe, or...SOMETHING?

Axtinguisher: Crits anything that's on fire (So fuck-useless on enemy Pyros), does less damage to non-burning people.
Rift axe: Lights shit on fire (So fuck-useless on enemy pyros), does less damage to EVERYONE.
You can craft the wepons after the pre order ends.
The Sharpened Volcano Fragment and the Sun-on-a-Stick will be obtainable through crafting after the Rift pre-order period ends."

Holy shit Valve is BRILLIANT
They knew people were eatin' up these promos, so to make the wisen the fuck up they worked with some random douchebags to create 50dollar weapons and fuck them over
