This is fucking ridiculous, Telltale, tripwire, team 17, ubber, those were indie developers or small companies and their games weren't expensive (exept for the Devil's Playhouse) But I have to admit that the axe looks cool, and pyro is one of my favourites classes, I will try to get the axe by trading

I doubt this will be as successful as other promotions: the items are bad, the game is expensive, and the crossover item is starting to lose steam as something of interest. I'm not going to do something idiotic like uninstall the game or stop playing it, but I doubt I'll be persuaded to buy a game just to get an item any more. (Monday Night Combat is actually fun!)

Who's the new weapons for anyway? If the new axe is for Pyro then players will be creaming their pants over it no matter how unfitting.

I think this will be seen once on a blue moon.

The press release also confirms is a Fire Axe replacement (name of the file is "volcanofireaxe")

maybe it was part of valves plan they want people to buy Rift for the items maybe it's just a query to see how many people would go so far as to get the items? it is a mystery. either way it will spawn more dumb asses who think they're hot shit because they deleted their promo items.

not that i'm gonna buy this shit and give even more money to valve ("they need this money for episode three :downs: :downs:"), but when you think about it, with all of the retarded traders out there that are so attached to their virtual items, it'd probably be possible to re-sell those weapons for a price higher than the game itself. :iiam:
