It's not so much that i am mad about having to prepurchase a bad game so i get TF2 items, it's that these promotional items are getting stale and annoying. Not to mention that these ones are incredibly ugly and unfitting for TF2.
Soon tf2 is going to have shit promo items from every imaginable genre and art style.
I'm usually not one to complain about new items, but really valve, we have enough as it is, and what the fuck does a generic mmo have to do with a shooter?

This is asking for a PREORDER for a FIFTY DOLLAR GAME.

except I like KF, I found the RIFT beta to be absolutely awful.
I mostly see people pissed about the "art style" actually, but ok.
As much as I despise monthly fees for MMOs, I rarely play games more than one month.
I honestly like both Vanilla and New TF2, i don't really see much art style raping, its just going into a different type of Americana style art.
but i agree the pre order weapons don't fit in at all.
they would probably fit in some other RPG. not in an FPS.

Some of you may see me as the "Blind defender of Valve and TF2" but even I have my limits. No I am not uninstalling TF2 but this is getting a bit crazy. Sure you don't "have to" buy it for 2 re-skins but thats not the point. The point is that this is "AAA MMO" that was going to sell even without TF2's help. At least most of the other promo stuff was mostly for indie games that were worth buying for the game alone and the items kinda fit TF2.
If Valve is going to keep going with this promo stuff I would much rather see it for games that would truly benefit from the extra sales and publicity.
