Actually no.
It involved it, but I ended up overlaying the original, tweaking it in 5 different places, editing the original skin, duplicating it, changing the opacity, sharpening it etc.
It's one of those 'Do whatever the hell to it until it looks good'

In a reply to the below comment, I'm not recompiling a bunch of hats, I am simply giving the Soldier a Space Marine-y 'uniform'.

I already Requested Omoolong to do something like that
I wanted a stash with + stuff.
like:
Stash+Medals(ByDaimao)Cuban Cigar(NeoDement) And shoulder pad (done by I don't know who.)
It's Omolong, not Omoolong.
And anyway, I don't know if I can do it with the cigar, because I have had problems with recompiles of it before.

I could do the jigglebones, seeing as I got the source files for it, it is just the cigar that is the problem.

Ya i saw it when it was first posted and even linked to it with my bill sniper skin and beret skin pack.
And then one day i got a random pm on FPSB that it was removed and they wanted their bill's hat gibus replacement. Like i was the one who had it or something.
Needless to say i actually own l4d2 so i never downloaded it, so i couldn't help the poor guy.

Explain "somehow" it's against the rules. It doesn't seem like it. If it was, Valve would restrict editing the game with skins, mods and so on.

I'm pretty sure GIMP doesn't support layer styles, at least not on import. So any and all layers styles that give the effects you need have gone missing.
