just because someone doesn't post for about half an hour doesn't mean the thread is dead
look at it this way, if you live life faster than normal, you'll perceive that faster AS normal, and if you start perceiving things at normal speed, it will feel like a major slow down
therefore, it's by nature that the thread feels like it's stopped to you
like 10 people got banned for posting single emotes
why would that even be a bannable offense

He lurks in this thread. Dunno if he actually has a FP account. He's rather greedy, impatient, and ungrateful. He flamed several people (including myself) for not giving him items or, in my case, not IMMEDIATELY giving him stuff.
While I was giving him a couple weapons, I asked if he had any weapons that I could have, and he nearly bit my head off.
It's not like I was proposing a trade; I was still going to give him the weapons whether or not he was going to give me anything back. But he basically accused me of lying, saying that I was baiting people into trades by saying that I was giving stuff away for free.
In short, why the heck would you ever give Mr. Proudfoot anything? He's not a kind person. :frown:

A post is a post, no matter how little it contains. Be it several paragraphs or a single emote; it's still a post.
A TF2 section thread can only contain ~5,000 posts before it auto-locks. So posting single emotes is pointlessly shortening the life of this thread.

but the people who got banned for it probably didnt even know it was a bannable offense
they could like warn them about it or something instead of banning them for something that was unintentional in the first place
also i dont know how long they were banned for but it does seem like a bit of an extreme punishment for something as small as posting an emote
