Unlike you, not everybody spends every waking moment in the Emporium thread, Royzo included. Just because he's the manager of these threads doesn't mean he has to be here 24/7.
As Royzo has said, the main reason for posting your stuff here is to get feedback. If nobody likes a certain mod, then why should Royzo bother to have it taking up space in the OP? Post it in the thread, wait for reactions, and if Royzo missed it, PM it to him.

I disagree, I feel the engineer is very efficient and takes pride in his work, not one to duct tape a sentry together.

It's a simple Force-a-nature edit.
Though animations being what they are, the end result is not the best. You load the gun by shoving invisible shells into nothing, and you make the gun ready to fire by gently massaging the shaft.
True rub-action weapon.
Also, I've always been annoyed by the tiny cowboy hat the engineer wears, so I gave it a bit more size.

The texture looks a little bland. You need more wear, and paint marks. Don't forget to add an alpha map to your base texture for the specular highlights.

The textures are the basic FaN and Frontier Justice(edited with FaN) textures with darkened metal and drawn on grip detail. But yeah, adding some detail might not hurt.

I think hes going for a mid way mix to make it so it fits with the animations.
If he is I'd suggest putting in somewhere a place which makes it look like its logical to put shells in, so it looks like its been a converted break barrel.

Here's my progress on Ash's Metal Hand (From Army of Darkness) for a Gunslinger Replacement, the proportions fit those of the gunslinger and the fingers follow the shape of the fingers on the Gunslinger and those on the Engineer's normal hand:
