I set the viewmodel fov to 90 because otherwise I think that I have to be insanely close to someone to melee them when in fact you have a considerable range.
90.
90 does work quite well for me, and I know at least one pro player who uses 90. I don't care if the models clip, I think its easier to aim and see what's going on around you with 80-90.
