Still won because he would not switch to melee him self. As for the direct hit. I could see why they would add a no crit to it. But I would still use it.
When your primary argument against nerfing a weapon is, "Try not dying to it, dumb shit," that's generally a sign that your stance is not exactly reasonable.

I've hit the motherload of BAWWWW Threads. A simple stream of bullets can kill a Targe/Eyelander Demo. Heavys destroy them, Scouts can still outrun them, and if you are in the open and get hit by their crit charge, either A: They got you in the ass, or B: You're stupid. And as for the "OMG SUPAR MID-AIR DEMO JUMP", who cares if they blow themselves to kingdom come and fly away?

I don't have any problems with the demoman and I use the spy, most of the time I can kill them with the revolver or at the least force them to retreat due to damage. And when I play heavy or scout I absolutely destroy them. Invincible? that's a complete joke.

Go try demoman for an hour, it's so easy it's unfun.[/QUOTE] The amount of shit in your post is saddening First paragraph: if you can sticky jump, you can't have the shield, no damage absorbtion, you're an idiot, you can charge, once every (15?) seconds, the eyelander has a farther range, and a weaker BASE DAMAGE than other melee (damages of a bat, unless charging) Second paragraph: Shotgun, learn to aim better and to bitch less. Pyro (no shotgun): Axtinguisher if he has shield, airblast if he charges, airblast if he tries to use nades. The pyro has [b] no difficulties [/b] in countering a shield / eyelander demoman, if you can't, then you plain suck ass. Pyro (with shotgun): 3 shotgun blast will kill a 175 hp demoman, 210 hp if you're lucky (if you do 80 damage 3 time), or just axetinguish him. Heavy: A full charge can not instant kill a heavy, stop saying bullshit and actually get info, a full melee critical does 195 damage, which, in the eyelander case, can only be done with a full charge, which then leave the demoman next to the heavy with only 45-65 damage sword swings, if as a heavy you can't take him down, again, you suck big time. The Eyelander is actually becoming completely useless. The stickylauncher/ScoRes is far superior, and without the shield, the bottle is far better then the sword due to the crits.
