So far this is you http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197994050163 [editline]06:28PM[/editline] Then I saw this and decided I had it wrong. http://steamcommunity.com/id/drfurry http://tf2stats.net/player_stats/76561197994050163 Okay yeah it's you.
You have nine thousand fucking posts made in the course of less than ONE YEAR, so I can honestly assume you spend EVERY SINGLE minute of free time on Fp. That's P. stupid to me.
Then I'll name you an idiot , someone who's an 07'er too with less posts than you.

You all got trolled fyi.
I think I ran into you in game, you were whining about the Targe' even then and your entire argument against it consisted of accusing me of downs syndrome.

If that wasn't bad enough, you go on to claim that you hardly play the game and aren't bothered by it when clearly you are, as you decided to make a thread about it.
So basically, you do all this bitching only for us to find you just suck and have not played the game enough? Goddamn, man, epic trolling. EDIT: Okay wait, it says on his tf2stats.net page that he's never captured a point. Discuss.
It is kinda funny messing with a charging demoman. If you have airblast, you can just blow him aside.
Demoman charges, you airblast and fire once with shotgun. He charges again, rince repeat.
I actually only have only been able to play TF2 for a week or two, and only have about 20 hrs ingame. Oh wow, you fall below the line of stupidity..
It's funny, the most damage he's dealt at this point has been as Demoman.
Stop whining cuz you suck.
The Demo's new weapons aren't hard to beat if you know what you're doing. Calling him "invincible" is an enormous exaggeration.
Demoman charges, you airblast and fire once with shotgun. He charges again, rince repeat.
I've found that if you keep him in place with the airblast, you don't even NEED to switch to the shotgun. Just hold him in place for long enough and he's completely screwed. Both work really well. Soldier can use a similar strategy too though; shoot rocket at his feet to stop his momentum, then finish him of with the shotgun.
You guys' only counter to my argument this far is "use airblast to keep him in place, then axetinguish him" Which I've already countered by telling you that he just pulls out his grenade launcher and can either keep me back long enough to go get health or just kill me with it. I was getting reflects and nice flanks consistently in my first hour.

TF2 is a game that is supposed to be relatively easy to pick up, but hard to master. I have nearly 300 hours in it, and I don't even feel I'm that great. The demoman's Targe and Eyelander are perfect as is, and it's people like you that get the weapons nerfed to oblivion. It's people like you that got the Sandman where it is. So stop whining and learn how to play better. [editline]03:53AM[/editline] Just checked my Steam Community page, and I apparently have over 500 hours.
Go heavy. Find open spot. Shoot demo. Demo dies. Now was that so hard?
Why would I change my class just to deal with one overpowered character? Bravado aside, you're absolutely ignoring my argument and just saying "this weapon is not overpowered because you are bad at the game." Go away if you're just going to throw rebuttals to the wind, arguments aren't about one punctuated joke after another.
Umm Actually i think you know why you got dumb ratings. [sp]You're a hypocrite[/sp]
I was using it as the first word of a sentence, kiddo. Also, I'm getting dumb ratings because of something called "social dominance posturing", which basically means that because one person made an effective (yet irrelevant) argument, everyone else now thinks I'm wrong on whatever I say and will place their fingers in their ears and shout "lalalalala" whenever I make a point they cannot refute (all of my points, tbh)

Airblast him, light him up, and keep him away from you. If you can blast him into a wall or a corner and disorient him, pull out the axetinguisher and slash away at him. Otherwise, keep him lit and airblast any 'nades he might send you way. If you honestly can't do this and win or get close to winning, you have not "mastered" pyro, and shouldn't be whining. [editline]04:14AM[/editline] Look at it this way: I don't like the Direct Hit when used against me. It's too much easier to get hit with it, even if I'm trying to be unpredictable. The rockets travel too fast for me to dodge or airblast, and soldiers can easily juggle me into the air and get minicrits. With the added damage, it's near impossible to live, especially as scout. And even though it has a phenomenally smaller blast radius, it seems to always hit and deal damage. But instead of whining about how I might think that the Direct Hit is a massively OP weapon, I'm trying to get better while I play against DH soldiers, because I know that I'm the problem, not the DH. Valve introduced a new weapon, and I know I'm going to have to play a while to get good at playing against the new weapon. It may be hours, it may be weeks, depending on how often and how much I play. So shut up, stop whining, and play more. 20 hours is nowhere enough to "master" the game, no matter what you think.
Why would I change my class just to deal with one overpowered character?
Well, the Pyro is a hard counter to the Spy, but that doesn't exactly mean he's overpowered. It's just a lopsided match up, and that's going to happen. That doesn't change the fact that the Pyro excels in close-range combat, and you shouldn't be having any trouble beating the melee Demo, especially if you've mastered the class after a whopping 9 hours as you so arrogantly claim.

The axetinguisher will (obviously) always crit on flaming opponents, so you should be able to make short work of him, especially if he's been disoriented by the airblast. Not that you need to melee him, because as everyone else has already said, the shotgun should work fine as well. His shield won't protect him against bullets at all. If you can't react or switch weapons fast enough, then I'm sorry, but it's your problem.

Something that pisses me off is that all Demomen that I run into are godlike with the grenade launcher, so I airblast them as they charge, then pull my axtinguisher out, but wait, I'm already dead because I received a grenade at point blank. Now I try to stay a bit further, with the shotgun, except as soon as I start shooting at him, another Demoman pops up behind me and chops my head off. That, or I just get critted in the face by a fucking grenade. Now add a competent Medic, and you have an invincible pair of fancy assholes. And if that wasn't enough, I suck at using whatever fires bullets. I guess my best bet is to get some practice with the Huntsman and headshot them as they charge at me.
you're assuming that all the demo has is the eyelander?
Well there is the point about the Grenade Launcher as well, but most Charge N' Targe Demos have the Eyelander out first. If they're fighting with the nades, then it's a somewhat different story, but the only advice I can give is to use the airblast to send the grenades back his way. Pyro, despite the reduced damage of fire still has a large advantage at close range. You can still effectively keep the flame on him, or switch weapons to move to a more comfortable distance. I, as a Pyro have never had a problem dealing with a Charge N' Targe Demo if they're alone. But, you're judging the weapon from the perspective of a Pyro who gets killed by it and calling it overpowered, and the fact remains that a single match-up in the game is not what dictates whether or not a weapon is overpowered. Like I said, you wouldn't call the Pyro overpowered just because of how easily he can kill spies.
you're assuming that all the demo has is the eyelander?
No, you are assuming that all he does is charge with the eyelander. And you suck at countering it. I still can't believe that you're so horrible at keeping up an argument that you start insulting people without basis.
When is he going to admit he lost...let this troll thread die already!
I find it easy to kill Charge/Eyelander Demomen with no kills. Get out in the open, wait for charge, sidestep, random critbottle his eyes in.
