Can we please go back to talking about the models?
Demoman WAR reparations look really good, but I doubt Valve would do make those in-game, seeing that the Soldiers won "fair and square". :colbert:

He isn't bad too.
Someone should ask again. What about the other people creating those versions of the classes? Are they at least releasing that?
I don't think they are as they said the hit boxes would be messed up because the bodies are different from the regular classes.
The heavy looks like chocolate.
The heavy looks like chocolate.
I hope Coach isn't watching then.
The heavy looks like chocolate.
We told him that eating too much Chocolate Bars would affect him.
(Note: Mods this is not racist, the texture looks like chocolate, it needs to be more demoman like)
Snipped since something I said when my mind was all innocent might be rascist.
-snip that myself-

The almighty dicks at Valve have decided to push it back.
Because they are dicks.
Genitalia.
Your pee-pee.
I'm the guy who made those alternate TF2 models. Glad to see you guys like them.
Currently there are no plans to release them as skins. The heavy and soldier models are fairly close to the original models in terms of proportions, but most of the other models are going to be pretty significantly different from the ones currently in the game. That means that a mod would be necessary if somebody wanted to get them working in-game as replacement models for the TF2 characters.
That said, I'm considering releasing them to the public after I've finished with them. I'm mainly making them for portfolio use, but I'd be willing to fork over the source files if somebody wanted to use them in a mod.
As an aside, that heavy's texture is 100% unfinished and I'm going to be doing some more work on it today to bring it closer to a finalized state.
If you guys have any questions the models, feel free to ask.

Except they're going out of their way to provide FREE updates for our games.

Complete, Utter, Dicks.
OMG Swizzle. I LOVE YOUR WORK MAN KEEP IT UP :D

heres a thought though, Make an entire mod of it? your already going with models, it seems all you'd really need now is a mapper, and some voice actors.
[editline]04:24PM[/editline]
or ask valve if they would use your models to make a "ye olde TF2" Gamemode.

Not really a question, more of a suggestion
With the sniper model I think that you should either extend the sleeves on the black jacket so that they reach the gloves or make the gloves smaller, because it just looks odd right now in my opinion. Of course, I don't really have any room to be making suggestions since you made them and they're yours, nevertheless, that is what I suggest
Teh Iron Man:
Thanks!
Mega Tuna:
I lack the time, energy, resources and skills to make a mod happen. I'm fairly competent with mapping and modeling for Source, but I don't know anything about the animation or coding side of things. I'd be willing to release this stuff under a Creative Commons license once I'm done, but I probably wouldn't be involved in any mod or game creation work aside from creating these models.
Sir Tristan:
I've only made the engineer, soldier and the currently work-in-progress heavy. Any other models in that thread are from other users.
Why are you so unwilling to release them. Trolling?
He said he'd release them when done and he gave a reason why they would not work without a mod.
Swizzle, unless I'm horribly mistaken, the engineer model seems less lanky than how he looks in the photo. The jaw also seems more defined as well.
The models themselves look amazing though. Keep up the great work.
Wait valve is just joking, they are releasing it today, they told them that so it would be much more exiting.
Which one do you like the most?
Ok, I deserve even more dumbs, I guess it is the PYRO
you can't blame me though, the model is extremely similar to that of the sniper. Anyway, I was talking about the abe lincoln pyro
That's the pyro I think.

It is the Pyro, you can see the flame emblem on his shoulder is you looks closely.
:ninja:?
I just glanced at it. He has the same sideburns and boots and pants as the sniper, plus a vest
The guy who made the pyro abe Lincoln simply used part of the existing model's classes so that he could make somekind of mockup.
Ye it's a mishmash of classes it has the spy's legs and suit jacket I think.
