ThndrShk2k:
It should be mentioned that my models are loose interpretations of the designs seen in the group shot from the comic. I know there are some important differences between my models and the ones in the group shot, but I have reasons for doing them.
Pako:
The soldier, at the moment. I'm looking forward to making the medic and the scout, though.
Sir Tristan, Aleister:
Mico knows what he's talking about.

Ah, well that explains it. Thanks for answering :D
Teh Iron Man:
Thanks!
Mega Tuna:
I lack the time, energy, resources and skills to make a mod happen. I'm fairly competent with mapping and modeling for Source, but I don't know anything about the animation or coding side of things. I'd be willing to release this stuff under a Creative Commons license once I'm done, but I probably wouldn't be involved in any mod or game creation work aside from creating these models.
Sir Tristan:
I've only made the engineer, soldier and the currently work-in-progress heavy. Any other models in that thread are from other users.
Under a CCL yes of course! but i realised that your not to great with animating when i heard your not releasing them. Spark wire is a good animator, maybe he could help you. Hang on I'll ask him in steam

5:01 PM - MegaTuna: hey
5:01 PM - MegaTuna: quick question
5:01 PM - MegaTuna: would you animate the old tf2 character models if you had them?
5:03 PM - MegaTuna: ?
5:03 PM - Sparkwire: no
Hahaha

Did he even know what you were asking? Your wording is ambiguous.
But if you stop crafting everything you'll be more likely to have the specific weapons.
Also I REALLY want something other than a minigun for the Heavy. He's the Heavy Weapons Guy, so he should actually have more than one type of heavy weapon.
But all I get are Equalizers, Force-a-Natures and Gunboats :saddowns:
Back on topic, I am so raging that VALVe delayed the Polycount results right now.
Swizzle, we should do something more fun* with these models than simply releasing them to the public.
*Yes, more fun than feeding you folks more artwork.
mwuahahahaha.
EDIT:
Oh ya,
<--adam <3
Hi, Adam! *waves*
What are you banging on about?
You should do exactly what Blutarch did: gather an epic modding team, consisting of TF2's best modders. (Well, almost exactly.) And then, let them finish the masterpiece.
:saddowns: <-- My face after coming home from work and reading the news.
At least I've still got other models to keep me busy.
If you guys have any questions the models, feel free to ask.
How long have you been doing this sort of thing?
Swizzle, who do you plan on doing after the Heavy?
BTW Neo, someone is modeling radigun at polycount.
Yeah I saw :D
I'm guessing the person you're talking about is Gerre? Because he's the only person I saw on Polycount modelling him
Was doing some reading, there's been some interesting fan concept art done of female versions of the TF2 team. I wouldn't mind seeing something like that in the future.
This for instance, minus the tennis theme for the female scout, is a good example.

If you take away the tennis theme it pretty much becomes Ayesdef's one with a different head

It was just an example of the type of thing that could be done. Female heavy, demo-woman, etc.

He looks like an action figure.
All shiny and stuff

Problem loading page...
Fuck.
I would have preferred a demo winner rather than a scout one.

None of these need replacements.
I wanted some Medic to win so goddamn much.
I like every one besides the Tankbuster. I really hope they reskin it. It's way too realistic looking.
