As much as I'd love my entry to win: [url]http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=73108[/url] I have to say I really really like all the other Medic entries more. I kind of regret playing it safe and not going crazy awesome like some of the other medic entries. The Shock Therapy one is really cool.
"Hey look at me 'ma!" I know I'm not gonna win considering all the other amazing spy entries. But I wont mind really, just having new items ingame (and get my badge) is more than enough for me.

(I agree that I rather suck at sound editing. Can't be good in doing EVERYTHING you know.)
valve never asked for sounds so I wouldn't worry.

Yeah, I've got a strong feeling I'm not going to win. My minigun probably ruined my chance. I like my shotty, though, generic as it is.

The TF2 team seems to want weapons that'd work as straight-out skins, so all they'll need to do is tweak a few stats and use all of the old animations. None of the "stabbing" animations would logically work with the razor, so I can imagine them going one of two ways with it if implemented: [list]All "stab" animations changed into "swipe" animations, and backstabs are turned into an animation where the Spy reaches past an opponent's head to cut his throat. This would require a large amount of animation work for [i]every class[/i], since more animations would probably be needed to make sure that an enemy having his throat cut matches up with the Spy doing the cutting.[/list] or [list]All "stab" animations changed into "swipe" animations, and the razor's special ability is that it causes instant kills [i]from the front[/i]. Having Spies with this type of ability mingling with standard Spies could cause [i]huge[/i] side effects, and would require a large amount of playtesting to see if it would even be viable without causing hell-on-TF2-earth.[/list] I like the razor a great deal, and would especially like to see what kind of havok type #2 up there would bring, but I'm not sure if the TF2 team would be assed to do all that for a single weapon.

For the contest, they're just models. The fancier models have their own animations. The winners will be decided on how they look and fit with the TF2 overall theme. When implemented, Valve most likely will give them new functions compared to the old weapons. A huge community update.

they just came out with the engy update and they're announcing the polycount already? I'm hoping to see new weapons for the spy and sometime later, levels.

EDIT:This is just a list of ideas to give a general idea of how it's possible to modify knife stats you must be :downs: if you think I want these all in one knife or if you think I like all the ideas.
