NO SCRlPT AHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY
noscript makes me sad, since it breaks the fuck out of all the dynamic content I spent hours making. Though I do love me some adblock. And that alone is usually enough, since the most common vector for serving these things is ad providers.
It's all bullshit. No websites have viruses. FPSBanana HAD a virus. The Official Team Fortress Wiki will NEVER have a virus. It's run by Valve for god's sake. Polycount most likely doesn't. It's just people being paranoid dicks.
haha people actually go to fps banana [editline]07:25PM[/editline]
Why are so many websites getting viruses now? I'm getting paranoid.
sites aren't most of the ads are shitty coded highly exploitable stuff
So basically if I hear gibberish or talkings or wierd voices when im on the internet, Ive got the virus?
No that pretty much means you're possessed. Not as big of a deal.
Virus came from ad, but infected site itself with iframe code (Which leaded to tossadswhatevernumbers.com). After that site itself started infecting users using java exploit (Newest java allows downloading third party thing without asking permission from user). So this wasn't only effecting IE but other browsers as well. Adblock didn't blocked it, but noscript did and disabling javascript too. Malware is no longer infecting on FPSBanana anyway.
Anybody who is stupid enough to think that Polycount/TF2 Wiki/TF Items/whatever is infected simply because FPSBanana had a bit of a virus scare shouldn't be allowed near a computer without supervision.
Isn't it the latest versions of firefox which put all plugins in a separate process called something like loader.exe? so when they crash firefox doesn't. [editline]08:00AM[/editline] Just checked, that process is called plugin-container. I still think there's a legitimate reason for this, you can't just call unknown processes virii.
Seriously, that's dumb, now every cool site has got a deadly virus. I don't belive in this shit.
Well, i guess poly is clean now, no need for panic and disbelief. Chrome didn't stop me from going in.
Anybody who is stupid enough to think that Polycount/TF2 Wiki/TF Items/whatever is infected simply because FPSBanana had a bit of a virus scare shouldn't be allowed near a computer without supervision.
Oh god, THIS.
I have 7 chrome.exes running. What?!
I have opera. Your arguments are invalid.
I have 7 chrome.exes running. What?!
chrome has process for every tab
chrome runs from several .exe's to make you think it doesn't require a lot of memory.
I still use FPSBanana, and I never get a virus. I mean, how the hell else am I going to get me some TF2 skins?
Two taskeng.exe. :/.
Oh god. Shut up. Just because something's running twice does NOT even SLIGHTLY make it a virus. Believe me, you'll know if you have a virus. This specific one spams pop-ups at you. Everyone that checks their processes and assumes something running twice is a virus should just shut their computer down and drop it out of a window, they don't deserve to use it anymore.
Wait. it won't be 'caught' on google chrome? what browsers then are immune?
It's not immune, it simply alerts you if the website you're going to has malware(virus for computer illiterates) before you actually go in.

I knew there was a virus not because i got it, but because chrome said so. Chrome is a god!
This.
Get out of facepunch, all you post is shit with that Goatse thing, so GTFO.
