It's weird how it seemed that Valve were completely shifting over to a system of Strangifiers for future weapons with a missing strange version, yet now we get a S. Winger and S. AWPer Hand that are their own separate items again.
Lately, besides all of the Grordborts, we've had Strangifiers for all recent non-Grordbort strange weapons: Pocket Pistol, Air Strike, Classic, Vaccinator, Cleaner's Carbine.
I can understand the Ullapool Caber since it's a re-release, but Strangifiers are an overall more elegant solution imo, since they can be applied to Collector's and KS weapons at any point and in any combo and cost a tiny bit less in trading than Strange weapons themselves.
It's just inconsistent, impractical and weird, I'd much prefer Valve stuck to Strangifiers for all weapons that are missing a strange variant in the future.
I would say the same for hats too. Now I have to choose between my other Ten Gallon or a Strange one, I can't have both.
maybe im dumb, but I still cant switch weapons from the minigun until it's fully stopped spinning, so that bug still seems to be present.

That's the thing - there are TONS of good ideas out there, Valve's just not picking them.
Players hit gives the FoW a statistic that matters beyond the rare hilarity kill.

That and I guess marking targets with the Sydney Sleeper are the only real uses I can think of for it.

Apply it to a chargin targe to show that you have actually done the shield bash, just not killed people with it.

It's like that part in Max Payne 3 where you have to provide cover fire for an unarmed ally, and by the end of the segment you've killed at least 20 enemies and the dude you're covering keeps running past their well-armed corpses.

I remember how they originally sounded, like a crowbar hitting the ground mixed with another sound.
Yea the sound update was weird and didn't make anything better. What was bad about the sounds before? At least walls sounded like walls and meat sounded like meat, now everything is meat

Certainly can, as well as the Frenchmans Beret.
The Strange Cosmetics + Awper Hand and Caber seem to be somewhat more rarer to uncrate.
